I think it’s a combination to be honest. Defense is playing more disciplined. Completion is definitely worse too though.

No I agree. It’s natural to take some time for a new defense to work. I just hate that him coming back is contingent on Mike coming back as head coach.

You said honeymoon like his defenses get bad over time. Kendrick basically said he was an awesome person. Ok? He knew better than to say he wasn't good at what he does though.

They edited the awesome person comment. He called Zimmer a bad word.

We never really got to see Zim with all of his horses and with an offense that put the other team behind so that he can do what he does best.

I haven't forgotten the blowouts, but the FO decided this offseason that depth wasn't that important.

It took most of the season but Zim figured it out. I just wish he would figure out how to use Parsons better because him playing DE all game isn't working. At the end he was gassed and barely got off the ball a couple of plays.

This defense would be next level if it had a DT like Vitea Vea.

Agreed Zimmer is a good coach.

The issues with the cowboys defense are absolutely issues with the personnel.

Personnel, and it takes time to learn a complex defense like Zim's. Whatever happens at HC, it would be wise to bring him back next year and continue what he's started.

Yes, great point. Me too, don't want him turning out like Diggs. Getting the big $, then not even bothering to tackle anymore- what the hell was that?
