I hope Bledsoe makes it to the pro bowl so we can...

I doubt this weekend would influence the Pro Bowl voting. Hopefully not. Even so, it wasn't all Drew. Nobody could possibly be singlehandedly responsible for 35-0. Why did Drew have to throw an INT on the final play? Now everyone says "Drew's 3 ints...".
This weekend has nothing to do with it. The Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. Always has been. Likely always will be. Find the 3 most talked about QBs and they will go.

Eli Manning
Matt Hasselback
Mike Vick

If you didn't see this coming you had your eyes closed.

Well provide some stats to back up your claim who the top 3 QBs in the NFC are. You'll see that Drew is definitely top 3.
If they picked the pro bowl or all pro honors by stats there would be no reason for players and coaches and media to vote on these.

What I'm telling you is that no matter what the stats say, Bledsoe is not a winner this year and the Cowboys aren't likely going to the playoffs. The probowl QBs will come from winning teams and QBs who impress their peers. Even tonight on ESPN, neither Jaws, Irvin, or anyone else even mentioned Bledsoe as a candidate, and they discussed 4-5 NFC QBs as probowlers.

Irvin himself picked Delhomme, Hasselbeck, and Vick...trust me, Bledsoe isn't going just because of his stats, which have taken a serious hit anyway since we were 7-3.

I'm not putting Bledsoe down...I'm just saying there's no way he goes to the probowl...either accept it or blame it on Cowboys bias  . If he even gets any serious consideration, feel free to rub my face in it.

Mike Vick will definitely get in - he's not winning any more than Bledsoe is this year. What Manning has contributed to the Giants 10 wins is not very much - I think Tiki Barber should be the MVP of the league for the way he has carried that offense on his back. Like Hostile said it is a popularity contest and Bledsoe is sure as hell not popular. Not saying he doesn't deserve to get in, but if he doesn't I won't be shocked. Pissed not shocked.

It's not hard to forget a 6 fumble performance if you see one...

I watch the pro bowl some people don't, but regardless of whether it's a real game or not it's the last NFL game on tv for a very long time. I take advantage of it and offer no appologies to anybody.
I like your oldschool style Julius! There is a kind of kitschy charm to the Pro Bowl played in those ugly uniforms on artificial turf. I remember Irvin ripping it up in his first Pro Bowl.

Not asking for apologies but watching 22 football players on the field trying not to get hurt ain't NFL football.

Every QB is better with an improved offensive line. Bledsoe especially excells when he has pass protection.

However, what separates the great QB's from the pretty good QB's is how they handle themselves when the pass protection falls. Do they panic and force interceptions? Can they scramble enough to buy themselves a few extra seconds to get rid of the ball. Can they locate the open receiver on the blitz.

The harshest Bledsoe critic would admit that he is an absolute stud when you protect him. The issue was always how feasible is it to offer perfect pass protection on every down. It's just not realistic and that's what many concerned Cowboy fans had issues with. The reality is that you can't afford Bledsoe the type of protection he needs because his protection needs exceed that of most QB's. Believe it or not, even Tom Brady's pass protection breaks down during games.

I couldn't have said it better myself and that's why I agree with Adam Schien of Fox Sports that he is just too inconsistent to take this team anywhere and will always hold them back. The better defensive teams will humble him every time. Can you see him going up against Chicago's pass rush or Sunday's San Diego defense or the Colts pass rush. It wouldn't be very pretty even with a good OL.

My sentiments exactly. But I don't think Jerry is smart enough to figure it out and Bill is too set in his ways.

I'd bet on it.

it would be hard to argue those choices, hos. drew has put up some numbers, but he's also look horrible - either through his own play at times, or just the play around him. i guess put in down as apathetic. i'm more worried about our team and it's long term run at becoming dominate again than a 2-3 year qb here going to the pro-bowl.

call me odd, but that's just not high on my priority list.

Actually Brady barely has good protection these days, if you see the injury list on their OL. You probably could say that about Peyton though, although, man the happy feet on Peyton is sometimes annoying to see, even when there is barely a rush on.

As I have been saying, any AVG to above AVG QB would be a real good one, when given great protection. So this theme of people saying, Bledsoe will be good as long as protection is good is personally to me an Oxymoron. Of course he is going to be good if protection is good. He didn't throw all those yards in NFL because he was bad when protection was bad?

Oh, what the heck does it matter though? We can all discuss this thing to death. One thing I am certain now is, BP and Bledsoe are tied to the hip. Nothing is going to change next year either. When HC reveres his QB so much, that he needs his permission to sit him down, then nothing we whine about, is going to change Bledsoe from being Starting QB here till BP is HC. PERIOD. Heck I will eat crow, if Bledsoe is not defacto Starting QB next year and any other year, till Bledsoe cannot function or BP is not coaching here anymore.

There very few QB's who can accurately throw the ball down the field against NFL coverages, even with protection. Eli Manning can't do it even remotely well, and he's going to the Pro Bowl.

The Cowboys got Pro Bowl production this year from a guy picked up off the streets. Anyone who has a modicum of objectivity should be able to be pleased with that, at any position. Those that don't seem to have some sort of irrational Henson fixation or still carry baggage from his days a Buffalo.

Yeah, I am afraid so. I hope BP makes me eat that statement and gives Romo/Henson or some other QB chance to compete with Bledsoe, but I am just losing hope with BP. No, I dont want him fired, cause I have thought that BP was the best Coach ever and I mean ever in NFL, ever since he took over Jets and the job he did with them.

But his QB decisions are something else :bang2:

Right on man, just like you were so right about Quincy :D

I guess Eli Manning must have played 10 years in this league without any of us knowing that, and that pro-bowl ballot has already been revealed?

I guess, Bill Belichek doesn't have modicum of Objectivity that he thought Bledsoe was done for in NFL

I was never more excited in my life to hear that Parcells was to be our coach.

Needless to say I have been pleased in some areas but somewhat dumbfounded in others.

I'm for letting him finish what he started but hoping like heck he doesn't walk away in the middle of his project. If he does it will be a few years before we recover.
