Chaz Green is a player that needs to be let go. He's the epitome of a tease and teases are what they are: a tease, never a full fruition.

This coaching staff needs to gain another level of stratagem both short and long term.

Couldn't agree more. He had his chance. It's not working out. Time to move on.

I just don't understand why Chaz Green is still the starter at LG. The line play has been sloppy because there is no consistency with Green in the lineup one week Cooper in the lineup the next week. I know some will say it's because Green is better, the best way to get consistency is to play the player who is health and available each week (Cooper). The Oline will continue to struggle because of this constant changing, go with the dependable player and let the Oline gel. Hopefully Green will this time stay healthy.

Because he has Dirty pics of Jerry in his possession

I still don't see why they let Leary go. Top 3 OL and they let a key piece of that leave. Brilliant. They hung their hat on a dude that loves being injured.

I doubt either Green or Cooper is likely to be a C'boys starter in 2018. At least, I hope not. Neither is the answer, imho.

Once again the zone shows it's lack of true football IQ...Watch Cooper...By far the better option...and just keeps getting better. A 2nd level monster....that is destroying unsuspecting LBers. People need to start giving this guy credit. I figure by seasons end...people will wonder how will we ever be able to afford to resign this guy. ;)

This team has been in the habit of looking at scraping the bottom of the wine barrel for the good scrapes and telling each other- we water this scrape of goodness down, we have a bottle of wine, but it doesn't work like that at this level.

The exceptional excel. the mediocre are worse when up against the exceptional, even when coached up.

Time for this team to realize that talent trumps. Let's get some real talent on this D and quit depending on an ancient mummy to coach them up.
Want to showcase the OL? You don't treat replacements of good players with nobodies and never-beens.
And that was/is the body of this team. You'd think they'd give more attention to that part, but you'd think they'd give more love to the D also...
Could not agree more my friend, it’s a dam shame how bad they botched this offseason.

Yea I thought this too.

People keep referencing that tweet with the pic of the depth chart but I don't know how accurate that is.

I seem to recall quotes after the last game indicating that Cooper had won the job, basically. My memory could he wrong though.

We'll find out soon enough anyhow.
The depth chart is specifically named "unofficial" because they only change it when they absolutely have to. It's low priority to make the edits week to week. It's more of a rough ballpark.

Cowboys Week 7 depth chart shows lack of situational awareness | Aaron Carney, Cowboys Wire
The Cowboys posted a new depth chart while waiting for the outcome of the Elliott hearing on Tuesday, and there were some headscratching things there, such as this.

Staying on the offensive side of the ball, the team listed Chaz Green as the starter at left guard over Jonathan Cooper now that Green is fully healthy from a hip injury he sustained a few weeks ago. Yet Cooper has been much more effective as the starter, scoring a 77.9 from Pro Football Focus against Green Bay, and would likely fair much better against 49ers defensive tackle DeForest Buckner who has been a monster since entering the league in 2016. With the Cowboys entering desperation mode and facing a get-right game against San Francisco, Green will likely be on a short leash.
Ok, this article and the pic of the depth chart makes it much more understandable why anyone would think that. Especially if they are only going by this one source. Just shows the weak journalistic skills of guys like Aaron Carney.

So who was the genius that advocated Chaz Green as a 3rd round pick? Is he being held accountable? What's his last name and I can answer that myself.

Why don't we just move Collins back to LG and go out and sign or trade for a veteran RT? Or beg Free to come back.

Just tells everone that beyond the 3 pro bowlers that they paid plenty for, they had no idea what they had, or what they were giving up. Stupid & arrogant beyond belief.

Something we should have done before TC started. Dumbest decision was to move Collins to RT, it was clear as day the guy simply doesn't have the footwork or finesse to be a tackle.

It's just a wasted year for him, honestly. Actually, a wasted year for this entire offensive line. A stupid experiment that isn't working out.

Dallas didn’t let Leary go. Word is that he was not going to stay anyway. He got upset that Jerry refused to accommodate his trade desires during training camp of 16. He wanted out of Dallas, and short of a financial miracle, nothing was going to keep him here. With the need to re-sign Martin looming on the horizon, the bugs just were not available to pay Leary anywhere near what Denver handed him.
