A barrier can only be broken once. If this isn't the first time(and it isn't), then it is not another barrier being broken.

Now I understand why West Virginia ranked low on the happy states list. The people are worried about the most innocuous of things. ;)

maybe someone keeps putting a new one back up, then it would be "another" barrier...

True, a barrier can only be broken once, but see, the thing is, .. there is more than one barrier.

There are many.

We are finding more in our society to break daily.

so the decency barrier was broken by this Kmart commercial? Not images of drug use or murder or sex that are put out there daily? but by a commercial using a juvenile pun? ok....

What if they reuse the material that was used to build the original barrier? It is possible that someone simply knocked it down and most of it is still in great shape and can be recycled. It's only the decent thing to do, no need to waste good barrier material. Would that still be 'another' barrier or simply a 'rebuilt' one? Kind of like a refurbished barrier.

Don't ship on people's backwards thinking. They have rights too.

It's not. It's a funny play on words. Just an uptight older society.

It is a funny play on words, .. I get it.

And if it is on this message board, or among adults or teenagers, it's funny.

I stopped finding bathroom humor very funny once I grew up, but I do see that it is meant to be funny.

But why do we feel the need to put it on TV where 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 yr olds are going to see it, learn it, and say it themselves?

Why are we putting it into every household in America instead of leaving it for adults.

I think we should be protecting our children and keeping them innocent as long as we can, .. until they are old enough to understand and reason.

They will all hear all of that crap soon enough, seems we should be sheltering them from as much as we can for as long as we can until they are a bit more mature.

They don't need to know every adult joke, or pun, at 4 or 5 yrs old.

I don't think we need to splash stuff like that on TV in front of the kids, but like you say, I am just "old and uptight".

Trust me, as you get older and see how things change and detiorate, you will have similar feelings.
