I just can't agree with that ship.

So you're good with introducing those kind of words to little kids?

Maybe we could just add all swear words to their vocabulary books in first grade.

yea, it's not like the commercial says something like, "I just took a huge ship" where the only way it really makes sense is to insert the other word. It is always in a context where "ship" makes sense. So, no swear word is introduced to a little kid by this commercial. If a kid sees the commercial and thinks of taking a dump, well then said kid has previously been introduced to the swear word.

If a kid actually take a dump in his pants K-Mart offers a service where they ship pants, it's a handy service.

You people can not possibly be that naive.

There was a time when that commercial would not have been allowed.

But now it is, an nobody even thinks how it might impact a child.

I had never heard one or even knew there was such a thing as a swear word until the 3rd grade.

And things that we considered pornography as teenagers are on the front of magazines in the checkout at WalMart, KMart, and Target for all of our kids to see.

I just don't get it.

It is not necessary and nothing good comes from kids picking this stuff up so young.

Surely you can connect the dots yoursef.

It is suggestive, .. adults laugh, kids ask why, what's so funny, ... and an older kid tells them.

Or they overhear others talking and laughing about it, and they pick it up.

Why do we have to put that in the home?

Just do a commercial without bathroom humor, is that too much to ask?

oh, so they won't learn it from the commercial. They will learn it from an older kid like most kids learn their swear words....if you wanna play connect the dots, you can do it with anything.

Don't start making sense you will bring down this generation. Just listen and agree with outdated thinking and NEVER EVER question it.

Has anyone ever even seen this ad on TV? I think it may be one of those ads that's made and is never used for fear they'll take too much crap over it.

It's not even out-dated. It doesn't make sense. If he said the commercial perpetuates the notion of using that swear word, I would agree (but it wouldn't bother me in the least) but it certainly does not introduce any swearing to kids.
