I've been holding this back for quite awhile, for if certain entities were to be made aware of it my very life&safety of those in my underground cadre of casing-liners could be in Jeopardy,,,yet ,I feel we've reached that level of trust in our friendship to lay this out on you,,,would any of yer' nefarious alien investors be interested in the purchase of Venus de Milo's missing left arm? The Possession of which my underground cadre happens to be in possession of ,we happen to have 3 currently in our inventory on a graduated scale of condition/ price,,,,I'm putting this out on the table to you and yer's, under the premise of utmost confidentiality

The coloring carcinogenic dye was the million dollar closely guarded secret, it was kinda a neat little operation, it was all calcium carbonate( chalk) as the base,of an elevated moisture content, with a small percent of iron pyrite( black sand) to form the matrix,being agitated into it, then pressed into like a 3.5"x3.5" by about 2" thick blocks from like a 30,000psi hydraulic ram press,the block form weighed about 40 lbs & he was to old& his pretty tweaker girlfriend couldn't press for the quantity they needed, those blocks were placed in wire mesh bottomed wood framed trays about 2.5' sq.and placed in racks in the klin/ drying room for like 3-4 days,as that coloring agent injected under constantly building pressure for like 48 hours could not displace existing moisture in the middle of those blocks as it would turn out 'milky' and be a bad run or shot,the acrylic Catalyst or activator added to the dye as a final step before pressurizing it sets it up as hard as stone,,,the easiest way for the novice to differentiate between synthetic and real turquoise is with intense heat cuz if it starts smoking black & melting like a soda pop straw on fire, you know it's fake,or the more refined will stick the tounge on it, as the synthetic is slick while authentic turquoise your tongue will slightly stick to it

if the fake stuff has acrylic in it, any acetone or pet ether would expose that?

30000 psi press. we used to use a 50 ton pressure in my old company. the few outsiders would be shocked when they see us pressing silicon or glass with it

sorry those guys are mostly engineering and have not expressed much for the love of art.
also they have trouble getting money outside their country except for joint ventures and investments.
i met someone who is filthy rich but yet must have a mortgage because they could not pull their personal money out of the country since they are chinese citizens.
