They get bent cause I say garrett sucks once in a while, but they allow a Dak Sucks thread. Just a bit confusing, but I will comply.....hope you are doing well..

If something happens once in a while, it happens sometimes, but not very often.

So using that definition, do you still think you say Garrett sucks once in a while?

Compared to last year, yes
.there is a whole Dak Sucks thread but I can't say Garrett sucks. Lol......

If you were banned, you could not post that you have been banned.
I know, I keep posting just to see if I've been banned. It's like breathing in a mirror.

I gotta say, this site is a hell of a lot better than the old DC.com and we had some good mods there, as far as I could tell but some had problems from what I've heard, but there were some in management of the site that were not good, or even OK.

I have found the guys here to be more tolerant except for the political reactions are a little uptight and the sense of humor antenna is down on some at times. Hell, I was just goofing off around two posters getting warnings and caught a time out and was really pissed at that. It was very obvious I wasn't serious but it is always better to respond instead of react. But, it was what it was.

What I do respect here is that they do try and keep the Fan Forum about the team and will let us get a little goofy outside of that and the participation in the Off-Topic is great. We had the same kind of thing going on over there but it was in the main forum as well because not many hung out in the other forums.

It is really easy, especially for me, to get tunnel vision on what's going on and forget there are a lot of fans that have limited time to come here and are really more about the Cowboys and they view a lot of what I write as nonsense, which it is. I am glad there is a place where the nonsensical's gather and nonsense is not only accepted but required.

I've got just so much to say about football, the Cowboys and the NFL but sooooo much more to say about nonsense. It really is my 6th sense.

It's not so funny when you smddont get an explanation.
But it's cool. You all can laugh. Probably not much else to enjoy.
Coach, you need a more stealth approach. There's a poster that hates Booger more than you do Garrett but he finds way to turn threads instead of starting threads. He got into all kinds of arguments on the old forum, which I think he really enjoyed, because most waited for him to turn it on Booger.

Now, I had no problem, as I was part of a very small minority when I first joined there, because I had 0 use for Booger and some got pissed at me nicknaming him but his previous nickname was OSF, Ole Sphincter Face. Now, which would you prefer, if you were Booger?

I finally gave up my crusade and just decided to avoid all exposure to him that I could control and only know what he says when posters bring it in here. And gave up arguing with posters, most do not come to discuss opinions but to defend them and that's OK, we each take from here what we need or want.

Now, there can be no talk of you leaving, nip that in the bud right now, mister. Get pissed, get all amongst yourself, but you are not allowed to leave and if necessary, a cyber shock collar can be put upon your person.

Great post, Coach!

You really seem to understand the reasons behind a lot of things here.

What most people don't realize is that CZ is not my vision or the staff's vision of how a site should be run. It's an evolution over 15+ years from many staff members and users as well as a lot of user feedback and usage patterns

A lot of people think of the Fan Zone as CowboysZone, but there is a reason why there are more forums and why we strive to keep each forum focused on its own purpose rather than letting forums get saturated with all types of threads and posts.

For example, we work hard to keep the Fan Zone focused on Cowboys current news and information while allowing some new types of topics and discussions to be posted as well. The reason we do this is because a lot of users come to the site either at work or simply for one goal and that is to quickly see if anything new or interesting has happened with the Cowboys today. Those users do not care about yet another fan's opinion on why some player or coach sucks, they just want to read about current Cowboys news and fan reactions to that news.

There are also a lot of users here that have more free time or at least spend more time on the site and are interested both in Cowboys news and information as well as many of those rehashed discussions. Of course some users just like to debate and some users like to bash the players, coaches, etc. they hate.

Then we have forums like the Off-topic Zone where a lot of users spend their time talking about a lot of random things or just chit-chatting back and forth.

What we have always tried to do on CZ is provide a place for all of those types of users.

While some users get mad that we move a thread to the other forums they fail to understand that in the past, we would have likely just deleted the thread instead. Some users may see a moved thread as a negative, but we see it as a way to get it more exposure for the users who are most interested in those types of threads.

I was told there would be beer here.

Excuse me for being an idiot. Most fans like to have their say. If we step out of line let us know why so that we can correct it. Why do some mods delete and others don't. There should be some consistency. Why is a Dak sucks thread ok but a Garrett sucks post not. Blah blah blah......its your forum, so you win.
