What about grouper for steamed fish?

hmmm
now u r talking.
plain rock fish or red snapper is a good 2nd choice.

coach and rgv r lucky there with all the good gulf fish
too bad i cannot go fish near here.
my cousin just bought a house on the BLUFF!
actually the lot has 2 1 bedroom houses - one on top of the cliff and one on the bluff.
great for fishing, but eating the fish here would be a bad idea with the PCB issue...

There's a lot of good places to catch crabs around here too.

What about grouper for steamed fish?

actually we can do the simple version - just buy alaskan cod
get ginger, cilantro, scallions, and put the shreds under the fish and on top of the fish.
wrap in plastic and microwave in 90% power.
then put new ginger cilantro scallions as well as soy sauce to taste after microwaving.
the trick is then to splash hot oil mixture (vege oil + sesame oil) on the fish.

Hey, Mel! What's good, brother!?

Saw that people were having a tough time with your style of prose. Small minds and all that, my friend :)
Well, thanks brother it's nice being appreciated, but like the Putty's diversification casing liner it would be ' no fun' like in soviet Russia no fun if we all had to sing the same kazoo tune in lock step,,o_O

Well I hope he responds. Chances are, he won't.

With the low input, you'd think he'd save his posts for Cowboys football and not knee-jerk idiocy towards great members.

the key is not to overcook the fish and sure the cooking is even in the microwave.
for one person serving size, 2 minutes at 90% power is usually adequate.
just poke at the fish to make sure it is adequately cooked.

oh yea, plenty of black pepper below and above the fish.
i dont use lemon juice on top, though some do.
try it without first.
but the oil must be smoking hot.
so obviously be careful with that.
