I Love The Fact The 3rd 'Dress Rehearsal' Game Is On The Road In Seattle

The first half should see most of the starters having significant playing time and it's against a tough team on the road.

We'll get our first 'game' look at Zeke, Romo and Dez out there together versus a pretty good defense. It'll be a good test on the other side of the ball too, at least for the first half.

Only negative is the game starts late, 9 pm CST, so I'll have to go to work before halftime, lol.

I know this may sound crazy but I know what romo can do. I want to see dak vs. that defense

Me too. I always prefer the third preseason game be on the road against a potential good team. I like the road game because it gives you a full dress rehearsal.

I really do not care about the score. I just want to see the team look organized and prepared and not sloppy. Most importantly, I do not want to see any injuries.

Looking forward to this game. I expect starter to see most of the 1st half then shut it down until the regular season vs NY Giants.

Maybe this won't be the typical dress rehearsal and Romo and Zeke and Dez and others play the 1st quarter or so. Depending on the number of series and plays and circumstances.
I doubt they play into the 3rd quarter. Zeke may play a little longer though, as he needs the game reps.

If they play half way through the 2nd quarter then starter sitting them from there, I will be fine with it. Maybe pull romo earlier, then have Dak play with the 1st team, before Dez and others come out. Though we know D&D...Dak & Dez have a good rapport already.

I'm not sure Dallas should do the typical dress rehearsal. I'd approach it just like last game.

Things are going well, and the team looks good. Don't push it now. Romo for a couple of series, then Dak to finish the half. I'd play Zeke a full half to get him going. Otherwise, why risk it when the team is already clicking well and relatively healthy?

Treat it like a dress rehearsal because this will likely be the last game action for most offensive starters for almost 2 weeks and romo needs to knock off some rust

I think I read that Romo will play a couple of series only. The only problem I see with that is the more Dak plays with the 1st unit, and plays well, is that the snow ball starts to get bigger and bigger, especially at Seattle.

That snowball only applies to the clueless.

He is not a threat to Romo's job and won't be until he either gets hurt again or hangs up his cleats.

That is the only drawback to what has become an incredible debut for him.

It's unbelievable how soft some of you guys are

Romo hasn't played since thanksgiving...not including last week

You can't just expect him to hit the ground running on the word go...he needs reps..he hasn't been sharp the last two season openers..these are the best players in the world..you dont just hop out of bed and hit form

We have the best line in footbal..with a QB that needs reps...

Give it to him ...put your panties away

You know they will be there. They will call for it on the first INT by Romo. I'm just happy to finally have a real backup. Romo is a competitor so I kept watching him on Friday on the sidelines after each Dak play. Yes he's a teammate, but it's human nature not to be going uh oh.

The best part about this whole thing is we finally have someone to push Romo. He's never had that here.

I would also limit Morris in the game. Morris is a backup but got good action in the first two games. I would play him a series or two with the starters but would limit his play after this. I would like to see Jackson fed the ball a lot. Parcells would do this to a young back by just feeding him the ball and see how he did when he was exhausted.

Eventually Elliott is going to need exposure. This would be the only game I would say to use him. If he cannot go, then why waste the time in the final exhibition?

I always hate the dress rehearsal games. I spend the whole time worrying we're going to lose a starter. It's not fun to watch because the game doesn't count and they don't game plan it. Give me the backups and let me see more what we're working with and just get me to the regular season, thanks.

I especially don't like playing good defenses. Those SEA games in the regular season are head-knockers.

I will say, I am curious to see how Dak could play agains their starting secondary. Not sure that will happen, but it would be fun to see. Assuming he plays well. :)
