I would love the give Dak more reps against SEA #1 defense and see his development. However, Elliot has not seen game action all preseason yet, and I feel like it's important for Romo/Dez/Elliot to get on the field for game action this preseason. Better them work out kinks now than in the regular season.

On replay though.

There are only 2 games on this coming Thursday and NBC is showing the Alt vs Mia game. Dallas game is in Seattle and shows the start time of the game at 10:00 eastern time and being aired on NFL Network. Why would it be a replay?

If past preseason games are any indication, Carroll will have Russell out there well into the 3rd Qtr. Meanwhile, we'll probably have Showers playing by then. Some coaches get drunk on the scoreboard numbers, even in preseason.

I just care about how our 1's do against their 1's, especially in containing Wilson, covering Baldwin and not getting gashed by the inside runs. As far as our Offense goes, I'm just looking for ball security. The only way Seattle gets the better of this offense is with a rash of turnovers. Other than that, no reason to believe our 1's can't march down the field.

Everyone talks about SEA d like the first 2 D's we played were below average. Both of those D's are pretty good D's too. I actually think the SEA D line is not has good as either of the DL we have already faced. So playing Romo would not concern me in the least. Play him a full Q maybe Q and 1/2 and then turn it over to Dak to the end of the 3rd Q and give the 4th Q to Showers. If you see the DL is killing the OL in the beginning, throw Dak out there sooner.

Some coaches want to give the starters a half and series coming out of half time to simulate a regular season game. That is why they look at this as a dress rehearsal. I don’t think many coach’s put much into pre season records after all no one will care what you did in pre season once reg season starts.

I agree Suh and Mario Williams both played in this past game and Dallas was able to protect and run the ball up the middle even with these 2 in the game

It's unbelievable how soft some of you guys are

Romo hasn't played since thanksgiving...not including last week

You can't just expect him to hit the ground running on the word go...he needs reps..he hasn't been sharp the last two season openers..these are the best players in the world..you dont just hop out of bed and hit form

We have the best line in footbal..with a QB that needs reps...

Give it to him ...put your panties away

Dallas had the best line in football and Tony broke bones.......twice.

I think what's being said is a preseason game isn't worth that.

He's really never had a problem getting back nto the swing of football, IMO. Minus the year his back was injured.

Tony 36 + Injury prone. I don't play him but 2 series. There's no reason to risk a 36 year old injury-prone QB. Now if Tony were 29 + not injury prone, I play him 3 quarters. We all know what Romo can do, he's not going to get better or worse in this game, get him ready for the Giants and the year.

Meanwhile, I do play the rest of the guys for 3 quarters, maybe not Tyron since he's banged up.

I know this may sound crazy but I know what romo can do. I want to see dak vs. that defense

Thing is - you're gonna see Zeke with the second team for probably the first time unless they bring back the starters in the second half. What he does this week will not discredit in any way what he's done so far, but I think this is the week the brakes get tapped a bit.

He he lights it up with the two's against Seattle on the road? Well then, watch the hell out.

I agree with every single thing you said, it all makes perfect sense - and yet I think he needs to get some reps. I just don't think you can replicate those game conditions in practice and yes, we already know what he can do - I just think he needs to do it again a few times, with nothing on the line.

That snowball only applies to the clueless.

He is not a threat to Romo's job and won't be until he either gets hurt again or hangs up his cleats.

That is the only drawback to what has become an incredible debut for him.

Dak has been great in the preseason, but to think he can take over for Romo now is ridiculous.

I agree for two reasons. The first is what you have said, the second is to protect Romo. In my perfect world, Romo plays the whole season.

With Dak, I am no longer worried about Romo going down. Play Romo and if he crumbles then he crumbles. Let the Dak era begin. Im not one of these cats that thinks were winning the SB this year anyways.

If Romo plays 16 games that is even better.

Yeah people are being rather arrogant when it comes to Romo. He's our #1 and we need to see what he can do against that defense. When can worry about Dak later.

I agree. We cant afford a rusty Romo again this year. He needs to be top notch. If the guy cant get through a preseason game, then what is the use anyway.
