Live! Not replay. The start time is late because it is a west coast game.
On my TV grid, it has it coming on at 11 ET which means we'll miss the first hour. Don't know why because they have a rerun of a football life coming on at 10.

It is replay, starts an hour after it goes live. If ya look at the NFL channel, it is only 2 hours long.

Now, this is true for everyone outside Dallas viewing area I think.

I'll be in Dallas this week. What channel can I see the game on? What time? Thanks.

I have to hope that this is a mistake. They have a football life episode over the first hour. I don't believe they planned to air this game live originally. I don't recall seeing all 4 Cowboys games live in the preseason in recent years. The Cowboys are the hottest team going right now with Dak as a surprise. I think the NFL Network had to shuffle their lineup to show this game, but they might not have finished yet.

I believe (I am not positive about this) that NFL Network doesn't show a live full game action when their is a national tv game on. It will probably start the game from start after the game on NBC is over.

That snowball only applies to the clueless.

He is not a threat to Romo's job and won't be until he either gets hurt again or hangs up his cleats.

That is the only drawback to what has become an incredible debut for him.

bingo, no right thinking fan wants Dak to start over Romo

As was I. Took my daughter to UT to start college and made a pleasure trip out of it! I def got sunburned.
Nice job in high school by your daughter (and her parents). Never been harder to get into UT than now.

I expect Romo to see just enough action to shake loose from the rust and find whatever might be missing due to an absence of live action. The staff will likely want to protect him from unnecessary punishment and preserve his well-being as much as possible for the season opener. I'd honestly be a little bit surprised if he were to see a full first half of action.

Dak, on the other hand, needs all the live game pro experience he can accumulate. There isn't a better experience for him than to come up against the Seattle defense. He'll benefit from what they'll offer in terms of making him compete mentally and physically against capable opposition. I'm anticipating we'll start seeing him about halfway through the 2nd quarter.

The problem is that it is only slotted for 2 hours. If they start from the beginning, then we miss the end(fine by me with the alternative). They could also squeeze the full game in 2 hours but that requires a lot of editing, not sure they can do that while the game is on and also limiting commercials....which they won't do :(

Add: the game is on for the 3 full hours at 1am(PST), so not sure how this is going to play out.

I think I read that Romo will play a couple of series only. The only problem I see with that is the more Dak plays with the 1st unit, and plays well, is that the snow ball starts to get bigger and bigger, especially at Seattle.

Let Dak play...he needs to see the field developing at a high rate and with top levels of pressure. Tony already knows the course lay...Give Romo some time and then let Dak take charge.

9-7
13-3
9-7
11-5
8-8
8-8
8-8
12-4
Yeah, in the 8-8s, if Tony had blocked better, got more turnovers on defense, stopped the run better, rushed the passer better....just maybe they'd be better than 8-8.

I am a huge Romo fan so dont act like I am not. My point was that even with Romo it hasnt guaranteed this team anything. Nothing to do with the inabilities of Romo.

Wait, why not? With the lineup we have, I think Romo can put together a successful regular season, and if we somehow happen to get home field advantage, look out. This is a 50/50 scenario.
50/50 yah whatever. Even if everything goes right this isnt a championship caliber defense or head coach.

What are the odds in vegas? Something like 50-1? Is there any team in the NFL that is 1-1?

I would say its a 40% chance we win the NFC East. And maybe that is pushing the odds.

If the Cowboys do win a Super Bowl, the fans and media won't see it coming.

Nobody was predicting a Super Bowl in August of 1992; although, I personally felt compelled to go see them in training camp in 92 which was my 1st time.

I predicted a SB in 92. :)

I think those records have more to do with Garrett than Romo in all honesty.

Garrett for sure. And also the lack of a commitment to the run game. Which goes back to Garrett. Oline was bad for one of those years. Defense has never been spectacular either.

Give Romo a quarter and give Dak a quarter. We need to see what Dak can show against a top shelf defense. The Rams have a solid defense, but I feel Seattle is better. Let Romo play a lot more in the 4th preseason game.

I agree, there are no guarantees regardless of the QB.
