I think our shortlist is down to 5 names at 24

Clear messaging coming out that this team wants to retool both their OL and Wide Receiver units. Unless something unexpected happens, I strongly believe 1 of these 5 prospects will be the team's pick at 24, in no particular order:

-Linderbaum
-Green
-Zion Johnson
-Burks
-Olave

Don't foresee, any of the top 6 edge rushers falling nor any of the top tackles. Both Dean/Hill are the wildcards if they are in that wipeout scenario. Davis lovers, he is expected to be long gone.
I think the Cowboys draft the receiver Burks/Olave with the first pick. The interior linemen value is in the 2nd and 3rd round. I think the wipeout scenario is possible because I think only one quarterback is going before 24.

Gallup was what a 3rd rounder , I don’t think WR is the way to go round one but having said that if an Olave a Burks falls to 24 it’s tempting . No one expected Lamb to fall to what 17 round one and he’s made a sensational pick .

The more I think about it the less I think we should draft a WR at 24…if we sign Gallup drafting another WR in the 1st would be too much money / draft capital at the position.

I like all the players you listed but it’s a very safe list…I wanna see who falls as the BPA. Think we have a good chance at a DE.

Tyler Smith, Tulsa tackle needs to be added to the wild card pick. He is a top 30 player according to Daniel Jeremiah and Zerlien has mocked him in the first round. The guy is 6’6 330lb has the ability to start off as guard and eventually move out left tackle. Sign me up over non talents like Linderbaum, Green, and Johnson.

It appears that is the direction they want to take. I'm fine with addressing the OL, but I too would rather look to add a WR more on day 2. I believe we are going to see an early run on Edges and Tackles.

Non talents? Seriously?

I'm fine with taking any of the interior players, but wouldn't love taking another 1st rd receiver. Do like a few 1st rd prospects at the position, but the trenches are the reason why they struggled last yr, not due to the lack of talent at the receiver position. Wouldn't mind going defense either with an Edge, Hill, Dean or even Jones who is rising.

You left out Tyler Smith. If any team would know about him, it would be the Cowboys. He is the perfect player to start at left guard and then eventually take over for Tyron at tackle.

I dont think Olave will fall to us but I agree with your list. Olave would be like 88 falling to us and I’d think they’d jump on it
I admit he's usually in the 9-15 range, but I saw network a mock yesterday that had Olave in early round 2
I notice Walter and The Ringer currently have him going after us as well.
He is not a lock.....nor should he be. None of these WRs are truly separated from the pack. 4 or 5 of them that everyone seems to see differently.

He is the dark horse candidate, which I'm not ready to put him there just yet. I do agree, he has that skillset.

Appears to be a top 25 player, where he could very well be in our range.

Zerlien mocked him as a first round pick. Daniel Jeremiah has him as at top 30 player. He has a chance to be the first linemen picked after those tackles are taken.

Yup, unfortunately neither of the ohio state wideouts will fall to our range, both outstanding. Look just to the 2021 draft to see how many wideouts go early. Even when they drop out of the top ten like 2020, boom they all fly off the board picks 10-15.

I'm not there yet. He needs a lot of development. Raimman is another whose range is hard to project at this juncture.

I am going to laugh if we take Olave or Burks.

Nothing says great roster building than using three numbers one picks in four years to acquire your WRs.
