Doubt they’ll overlook us with them being tied with Washington. Losing to us could send them into a tailspin. It’s not like they have a great team. They’ve had some close games and just got by Jacksonville last week.

Perhaps, I'm not sure what it is, but I sense an upset. Then again, maybe it's the garlic from the pizza I ate.

At this point we should just play for draft position and next year if Manning tries to go for the draft play for the Manning sweepstakes.

Obviously, yes, but that's partly why I think the upset may happen. We aren't supposed to win this. We aren't supposed to be competitive. We have no benefit from winning it. But, that's the exact kind of game the Cowboys usually win.

It’s wishful thinking on your part but it’s the NFL, an any given Sunday league. Can’t rule anything out but Philly is a much better team. Jacksonville isn’t a good team and they gave Philly all they could handle last week.

Well, that's probably about right. And I saw something with the way Jacksonville played Philly. Not to mention that it's a week to week league. Plus, at least with what I'm accustomed to with this team dating back to the Garrett days and sometimes the Campo says, there was always one or two games where we had no business winning and we did. Then we completely embarrassed ourselves against a team we shouldn't have lost to. This feels like the former of that.

If we have no semblance of a running game and our defense starts getting road graded, the game will get thrown on Rush and the Cowboys will lose by 2+ scores. The main reason we don’t have Dak is games were being thrown on him this season. Rush better hope our OL holds up.

Oh, I understand all that, but that's why it makes sense to me that the team comes out of nowhere. I don't know. But this just feels like an upset

I know, it sounds crazy for me to think we are going to win anymore games in 2024. However, I think the Cowboys will beat the Eagles on Sunday. Here are the reasons why:

  1. Rush nearly had them last time he played them. The Eagles are not as good as when he last played them. They're good, and Barkley will be a problem, but I think Rush will lead us to a shocking win.
  2. Nick Sirianni is an idiot. As much as we may want to have swipes at McCarthy, Nick Sirianni is a certified moron. He nearly blew the Browns and Jaguars games with some insanely braindead calls. I think Sirianni is going to make some insanely boneheaded decisions that the Cowboys will take advantage of and beat them.
  3. The NFC EAST is insanely hard to gauge. In NFC East battles, it's usually best to throw the records out of the equation and the run of form the teams have been on. Somehow, I think this won't be any different.
Somehow, I think the Cowboys will narrowly edge out the Eagles. If I had to guess, I think Sirianni is going to have the Eagles try to go for it on 4th and 4 up 20-16 (I think Aubrey will hit a 69 yard field goal before halftime to make it 20-16 btw) late in the 4th quarter instead of kicking a field goal. I think it will fail, and we will drive down for a game winning TD to Lamb. I don't know why, but I think we somehow win this game 23-20
I think that is what you would like to happen, so it is good you dont bet on cowboys games lol.
Anything can happen is true, but the odds heavily favor eagles to win this one.

Rush only had part of one game for a warm up ,and then has to face the 6-2 eagles .
They have barkley, we have elliot !

We should know what type of game it will be by half time.

The Cowboys definitely aren't as good as the last time Rush played against Philly either. He had a better OL, DL, running game, etc...and Moore & Quinn were the respective coordinators. Rush went 18/38 with 1 TD & 3 Int's.
This time around, Dallas boasts the worst running game in the league, and among the worst DL's & OL's...with a less deep and talented roster being further decimated by injuries.
I will still be rooting for a W as always though!

And what did you see? The Eagles had the ball for 17 more minutes, and out-gained them by 230 total yards. Lawrence had a 40 passer rating, they were just 3 for 10 on 3rd down, and they averaged just 3.3 ypc rushing.

The score was closer because the refs called a fumble by Barkley (that was not a fumble) that Jax returned for a TD. And yes, Sirianni made some bone-head decisions which is par for the course. But those things weren’t the way Jax played Philly.

Look, it’s the NFL, and it’s a division game…and I’ve watched football far too long to not realize that no team can afford to take another NFL team lightly. But you can’t really point out anything the Jags did easily against Philly.

Yeah, they have a waiter. Unfortunately, I'm driving, so no wine for this horse. Still, I'm mainly doing this for nostalgia lol.
Oh.... nice. I get that.

There was a rinky dink country pizza place close to my grandparents house when I was a child, that they would take me to when I visited them (different state where I lived), complete with juke box and Pacman arcade game, that had a very special place in my heart... and I'd go there when ever I was in that area even as a young adult, for nostalgic reasons, until they tore it down some 15 years ago.

Pizza Hut, has a thin crust pork topping pizza (not sausage, just pork) that tastes EXACTLY like what the pizzas tasted like my grandparents would get me...and I've never found any other pizza like it. TheGreatCowboysOregonDucksLADodgerFan occasionally will go get that large PizzaHut pizza, and enjoy it with a Coke with crushed ice, to recreate those fond memories of youth of cheap (but delicious) pizza, high scores on Pacman games, and loving grandparents who have since "moved on"

Not to mention the 2pt conversion that was when hurts crossed the goal line. Probably one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. Gene Steratore was even flabbergasted they didn't overturn the barkely fumble.

I believe if the eagles play up to their potential, this has a makings of a blowout. Cowboys can't stop the run, eagles run extremely well. Eagles stop the run with 4 downlineman. Cowboys can't run. Eagles secondary is by far the best it has been in a few years. Cooper dejean has made all the difference. Eagles highest graded player in the slot since 2021. Lamb lives in the slot..Dallas fans used to seeing the old 2023 secondary for the Eagles. That changes tomorrow. Eagles by 14+ in a route.

There is a better chance this game will be over by half time.

How Rush played against them last time has zero bearing what happens Sunday afternoon.

We can’t stop the run and they are one of the best running teams in the league (along with the Commanders who will give us the same issues). The game will be lost right there. We will need multiple turnovers to best this team. It’s not impossible, obviously, but our DL sucks so bad and our defense is so bad at producing turnovers right now, it’s unlikely we get a win.

I think we will be fired up and play hard.

Rivalry game at home…

Desperation-mode…

These intangibles can lead to upsets. It’s happened thousands upon thousands of times in professional sports.

But it won’t be enough. Rush isn’t good enough and I can’t stress enough how horrible our DL is.
