the cowboys would have eight wins or more with prescott if the defense was not garbage at the beginning of the season. prescott was not great by any means but the defense did not do him any favors. no quarterback would have been able to win with as bad as the defense and running game was the first six weeks.
It's cute that you think the defense plays in a vacuum and nothing else affects it, like constantly going 3 and out or turning the ball over to the other team, forcing the defense to get exhausted even before half-time.

Yeah, the defense sucked, but Dak helped the defense suck by the offense being unable to stay on the field long enough to rest the defense.

6-8 and not even I think we have a chance at playoffs. Technically not eliminated but it’s not happening. That aside, we could technically be in the hunt still if Cooper Rush started this season. I think with Cooper Rush under center, this team would be 8-6 right now. We definitely beat the Falcons with Rush under center and I think there’s a chance we beat 49ers too. It pisses me off to be 6-8 right now. This team should still be in the hunt and that should make this fanbase sick.
If you’re right there will be a demand for his services. Teams will want to sign him. I think you’re wrong and this is his last season in the NFL. The Cowboys are not a very good team. There are others. Get over it. Cowboys fans do not have a divine right to success in the NFL. In fact they have become the poster child for prolonged failure. If you think Cooper Rush is the difference between success and failure, stay a Cowboys fan. You are where you belong. It’s a wonderful thing.

You still don't understand why we struggled most of the season and how things started changing in recent weeks.

I think we have more than 6 wins if everybody is healthy and the starters play preseason so they don't have to knock off rust the first 3 games EVERY YEAR

it was a team implosion for sure but the defence stopped noone in our first three homegames

for me the last 3 games will tell us more about rush and MM etc.
it is remotely possible the last game could be a win and your in game.
Dallas has to win next 2 and wash has to lose next 2. And some other teams would have to lose too lol

You’ve lost your mind. The team that Rush is playing with right now is FAR better than any team Dak had this season. Even though they were against bum teams, we’ve somehow developed a running game, something we never sniffed when Dak was in the line up, and it’s probably the biggest difference maker for a QB on any team. If Dowdle had been rushing for 100+ with Dak at the wheel, maybe he loses 1 game.

Everyone thinks they’re a coach. Rush didn’t play well yesterday. His throws are exactly what you’d expect from a 2nd tier backup. The real coaches see these guys in practice every week. The guys you see on the field are the players that earned their positions. Stick to being a fan. Your analysis is terrible.

The sad part is that if Cooper Rush had stayed in at quarterback two years ago the Cowboys and would have been in the Super Bowl.
That year the Eagles went, but they were struggling at the end of the season. The 49'ers were just asserting themselves with Brock Purdy but weren't a match for the Cowboys if the Cowboys had a real quarterback in the game.
The 49'ers and the Eagles met for the NFC Championship game but the Cowboys were the best team in the NFC by the end of the season.
Dak did his usual choke job, and the 49'ers went on to face the Eagles in the championship game, but lost because Purdy was injured early. The Eagles had started the year string but limped into the playoffs.
Rush took over for Dak early that season and went 4-1. Dak came back in and the Cowboys struggled mightily against weak teams, but with weak competition still made the playoffs. The Lions,Colts, Titans and Texans all nearly beat the Cowboys because Dak shut down. All four were cellar dwellers that year.
Had Rush stayed in at quarterback the Cowboys would have won the NFC Championship.

Cooper Rush is about as physically limited a QB as I have ever seen play in the NFL. He is here because he was a cheap, familiar face that posed no threat to Jerry's $60million man, except in the delusional minds of some CowboysZone posters.

....sometimes, a drowning victim will drown you too. The culture is the drowning victim. The culture is Jerry. Jerry has us believing "win more with less"...."our backup QB would be All-Pro." What franchise or fanbase does that?

The last three games against playoff teams will be a good indicator for the Cowboys, Carolina and the Giants don’t indicate much of anything and the good part is all three teams look at Dallas as a win to further there playoff spots .

I think you would be dead wrong. I think we would lose the pitt and probably the cleveland game and pull out a close win against giants. we would have two more losses.
lets not forget Rush has barely beaten a 2-12 Giants team. beat a team that's vying for the top pick, yet again and lost to a 6-8 bengals team. got blown out by two legit playoff teams. in one of those games he had 40 yards passing.

so this is all a total fantasy made up in your head and your head only....click your heels three times and come back to kansas dorothy!

It doesn't matter honestly. The fact that we haven't really played that much worse with Rush under center as compared to the guy who was just made the highest paid player in NFL history shows just how terrible of a contract that was. I'll defend Jerry over a lot of things as I think he gets a lot of crap he doesn't deserve but there's no defending that.
but we have played worse. we have beaten two bottom feeders and people are throwing a parade. we got blown out by two legit teams. this past game was the first game the offense scored more than 20 points (not counting defense, special teams scores). that's not going to win you many games in NFL.

I think we'd have one more loss, to Pittsburgh. Although he had two interceptions, Prescott had to play like a franchise QB for us to win that one against a very hot defense. Defense collapsed on us against the Saints and Lions, and we've scored over 27 points just once with Rush at QB (and that was this week against possibly the worst overall team we've faced). None of those games we played before Prescott's injury would we have won with fewer than 27 points, except against the Steelers, and again, that took a 352-yard effort from Prescott.
this past game was the first time this year, the offense scored more than 20 points (not counting defensive and special teams scores).

Any given Sunday, man. We lost 34-6 to Philadelphia, while Carolina lost to the Eagles only 22-16. That didn't make us worse than the Panthers.
I think Philly watched film and though they walk in and its a win. this was our championship of the season. we poured everything into it.

It's cute that you think the defense plays in a vacuum and nothing else affects it, like constantly going 3 and out or turning the ball over to the other team, forcing the defense to get exhausted even before half-time.

Yeah, the defense sucked, but Dak helped the defense suck by the offense being unable to stay on the field long enough to rest the defense.
so do me a favor, actually go look at play by play and see if that's what happened. I know perception is much stronger than reality. it always is.

also, what was defenses excuse against Saints in the first 4 drives...they were already exhausted when they walked on the field? the warmups were too hard? the temprature was too high? the sun!? what was it that they just couldn't make a single stop.
the saints got the ball, marched 80 yards, with only 1 3rd down and 2 2nd downs!!!, was this defense tired already? on the first drive
we actually scored although not a TD, but point being that it wasn't three and out, like your perception.
then saints get the ball back and marched again, with a 70 yard pass. did they get exhausted because they were on the field for literally 5 seconds!? that's how long it took for that second TD!!!!
we actually drove down, no three and out, and scored again, again not a TD....but still as your perception is its always 3 and out, it wasn't. saints marched again, had a 57 yard TD.
1st quarter, they had the ball 4:15 and we had it for 11:45....so why is this defense tired and exhausted? should Dak and the offense kept the ball for another 2 minutes to limit saints scoring 5 points per minute!!!!!!!!
at one point it was actually 21-13.....then NO got the ball again, scored again.
first half, they had the ball for 11:30 minutes...we had it for 18+ minutes....so why is this defense exhausted again?

come on dude.
