I know most of us are out of our minds right now.

So I just want to say something.

The most valuable player for this season is Jerrah Jones.

The leader of the pack.

His Cooper trade saved our season.

His firing of the OL coach at the Bye Week and elevating Columbo the position..

Plus bringing in Hudson Houck to assist changed everything.

The offense stabilized and won us games often late in the 4th Qts.

Of course Zeke is Zeke..

and DAK is DAK..

but our GM pulled some magic out of his 10 Gallon hat this season so far.

He is also the one that didn't sign a number one receiver and hire Alexander as OL coach.....hmmmmmm

So if we didn't win you wouldn't feel this way?

Hey Red, who won the Tom Landry golf club covers?

If you look at what has happened to the Cowboys' line (injuries, etc.) and where the team was at 3-5, Zeke should get major attention for MVP. Leads the NFL in yards from scrimmage and has a massive workload each and every week.

The problem is he won't get it because Patrick Mahomes has like 92 touchdown passes by now, and quarterbacks always get all the recognition.

If he would have fired Linehan too then I would agree with you

I’ll buy in a little. Jerry only went halfway and did the easy things. He refused to go all the way a get rid of Linehan and maybe even Garrett. I get that would be such a big disruption but they are killing the team. Then, they have to deal with Dak at QB, who can’t overcome their ineptitude, and it’s about to get ugly in the playoffs. If making the playoffs was the goal, Jerry got it done. If he wanted more than that, he pulled up short. At the least, Dallas should have a new playcaller on offense.

I'm glad you left Garrett out of your post. Truth be known, he had absolutely nothing to do with the turn around. Well, he reduced the amount of clapping drastically, so at least he did something positive.

If you trade away a 1st round pick during the season, then you are saying you are ready to make a SB run. That you are 1 player away. You don't trade away a 1st round pick to "save the season" so you can win more games than you otherwise would have in the regular season. That is NOT very good personnel management.

Therefore. Anything less than at the very least an NFC championship appearance is a failure for this GM.

Another one and done would be a disaster.

Anyone disagree?

That's has been and still is the standard for this season...win 2 games...is that too much to ask for?

Well, WR was a major need and we got a first round talent for that first round pick.

Cooper will still be here next season, he's not just a rental for this year's run.

There's room for argument on if that pick could have been more valuable in using it to try and upgrade the QB position.

I don't think failure to go deep in the playoffs this year makes that decision a failure.

Exactly how I feel.
Believe it or not I can deal with Garrett as HC. All he does is motivate in that capacity imo. Linehan needs to go if team is to ever figure out how to limit Daks many shortcomings as a QB.

I disagree highly.

By trading for Cooper. Jerry only fixed a problem that he played part in creating.

He is the GM and the team went into the season with the worst receiver Corp in the league.

That’s ultimately his responsibility.

So he gets credit for helping to turn the team around. But he was the one that put the 3-5 product on the field to begin with.

See my reply about recovering from mistakes.

Jones made some good moves; jones’ homerism is also costing this organization more success. Him refusing to move on from Garrett and Linehan is very frustrating.

The lack of acumen on the offensive side of the ball with the coaches is astounding
