I waited until we won before posting this

He is also the one that didn't sign a number one receiver and hire Alexander as OL coach.....hmmmmmm
He tried to sign Sammy Watkins and Sammie said no.

I cannot really comment on the Alexander thing.

Do not know who came up with that one.

Not much was said when it happened.

I would love to see him pull out of some of that magic out of his ten gallon hat fix this offense cuz they are pretty pathetic. You have to remember we are playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers not the LA Rams or the Saints or even the Seattle Seahawks for that matter we play like that and one of those games and we're in trouble
Saints?

Yea but he's also the reason we were 3-5 to begin with. Got rid of Dez and didn't replace him. Trying to tell people we like who we have.
He tried to sign Watkins.

Watkins said no.

There was nobody else they saw.

Golden Tate and Cooper were not available until the trade deadline.

Ripley could have been drafted but I would not trade Vander Esch for him.

So Clear Eyed View says..

Jerrah did good.

I know most of us are out of our minds right now.

So I just want to say something.

The most valuable player for this season is Jerrah Jones.

The leader of the pack.

His Cooper trade saved our season.

His firing of the OL coach at the Bye Week and elevating Columbo the position..

Plus bringing in Hudson Houck to assist changed everything.

The offense stabilized and won us games often late in the 4th Qts.

Of course Zeke is Zeke..

and DAK is DAK..

but our GM pulled some magic out of his 10 Gallon hat this season so far.
I will agree with you IF this team wins at least two games in the playoffs. Because if They are “one and done” this season will be just like all the others where we won a division but did nothing with it.

In the small picture, yes I am proud of this team for having a great turnaround and winning the division. But I’m not going to be that excited until playoff wins follow. Playoff wins are the big picture.

If you trade away a 1st round pick during the season, then you are saying you are ready to make a SB run. That you are 1 player away. You don't trade away a 1st round pick to "save the season" so you can win more games than you otherwise would have in the regular season. That is NOT very good personnel management.

Therefore. Anything less than at the very least an NFC championship appearance is a failure for this GM.

Another one and done would be a disaster.

Anyone disagree?

It was and still is one of the worse moves this FO made.

If the defense plays like they did against the Saints they could carry Us in the playoffs but I'm not real hopeful of that seeing the last two weeks

I’ll buy in a little. Jerry only went halfway and did the easy things. He refused to go all the way a get rid of Linehan and maybe even Garrett. I get that would be such a big disruption but they are killing the team. Then, they have to deal with Dak at QB, who can’t overcome their ineptitude, and it’s about to get ugly in the playoffs. If making the playoffs was the goal, Jerry got it done. If he wanted more than that, he pulled up short. At the least, Dallas should have a new playcaller on offense.
Everything you said is spot on!

2 weeks? So I guess we aren’t making it out of the first round?
No.

No.

I just want to enjoy today.

I could care less about next week.

The next week is for real.

Then we can discuss anything negative.

I personally like what we have done.

We can play like against NO..

or roll over like the Colts.

The other teams should be leery of us.

Cooper did revive the offense but the defense is the real hero. Otherwise we have 2-3 wins right now.

Nice post. Kudos..

Jones made some good moves; jones’ homerism is also costing this organization more success. Him refusing to move on from Garrett and Linehan is very frustrating.

The lack of acumen on the offensive side of the ball with the coaches is astounding
You sound very arrogant sitting in your lazy boy recliner claiming the offensive coaching lacks acumen. You have to expect to be laughed at. I mean, who the hell are you? Just a "Joe Shmoe" off the street. LOL

I agree. Jerry had made some good moves, but the moves were precipitated by some really terrible moves.

I agree.

But what matters is in the end you figure it out..

then when the opportunity presents itself..

Kismet

you have the conviction to change.

And the changes have turned out well.
