Define fine? Fine in the daytime? Fine at night? I've been to several cities including New York 32 years ago, and Philly was the worst. Of course now there are several cities that are disaster areas, and getting worse thanks to elected officials mismanagement.

Then you must have wandered into a seedy neighborhood at night, which all cities have.

Because if you are downtown at night or in an area like Old City at night, you'd see lots of foot traffic, people eating out, etc.

They bought a huge tract of land in Ambler, PA with the intention of moving to the suburbs so they could attract football players also. The city of Philadelphia gave them huge tax breaks to stay, so they never did. Biggest mistake they ever made - with the possible exception of giving Bill Cosby his Doctorate.

That stretch of Broad Street from just below Temple up to beyond LaSalle University can be a brutal stretch.

But there has been a lot of development and building in the Temple area. I think it's improved the area slightly but they still have some real issues there. There are parts of North Philly now that 20+ years ago were disaster zones that now have restaurants, condos, etc.

Biggest problem was there was no clearly defined divider between what was the University and what was a crappy part of town. They basically just blended together. The result was panhandlers hitting you up outside the dorms - or while you're walking to class.

I think it's still the same way to an extent. The campus and their commercial buildings just kind of blended into the neighborhood. In fact, in recent years, you've seen a big chunk of the row homes in the area get snatched up by developers trying to take advantage of that and turning them into rentable housing that they market to students. I think the immediate area around Temple has improved a bit but go a few blocks too far and yeah, you might have some issues.

I've been to lots of cities, and as I've said before Philly was the worst. And no not all cities have bad areas.. I would highly recommend if you're a woman not to walk around when the sun goes down even the areas considered safe.

My sister was attacked on Chestnut Street going to her car in Philly. that would be considered 1 of the safe spots.

Chestnut street runs almost the entire width of the city.

Where on Chestnut? Because as noted Chest it runs for miles and Chestnut in Old City is not the same as Chestnut west of U of P, for example.

And yes most major cities have some seedy areas. To suggest that a woman should never walk in any part of the city at night shows some bizarre bias on your part.

Further, you make comments that bring into question your credibility like how crime is “embraced” in Philly despite the fact crime stats show crime is decreasing in Philly.

Philly sucks. Spent a week in downtown for a convention and learned there are parts close by that you do not want to walk in, day or night. Mafia is still big there. Lots of things to be careful of.

There aren’t really any bad areas around the Convention Center. Especially no areas that you couldn’t walk in during the day.

yeah I know, shoot me....lol But my wife is a huge Eagles fan, she's from South Jersey and she got passes. The whole lower bowl of Lincoln Financial was full of fans. Anyways, Wentz doesn't look like he's starting the season. Their red zone session for the offense was horrible, Foles didn't practice and Wentz was off on a lot throws. Dallas Goddert looked pretty good for them though. I know it was practice, but I wasn't impressed. Those fools were chanting Dallas sucks out of the blue. It felt good to know we are always on their minds.

Then this is the best part of the whole Practice. A young guy, about 18-20 shows up in a Zeke Jersey halfway through their practice. They put him on the Jumbertron and those people lost their minds, Myself and my two sons(also cowboys fans) just looked at each other and said that guy is a savage because he gave it back to the whole crowd.

I dont see Wentz starting because graph isnt completely healed even if Wentz is pain-free. Eagles had alot of things go well for them last year. They are still juggernaut for several years but my hope is that Dallas can atleast compete and even win few head-head match ups.

It's probably the best one since Jedi.

A lot of rehashing of A New Hope, but not so much as it's not enjoyable.

If you like Star Wars, you'll enjoy it.

Agree...I enjoyed it, but then Rian Johnson went and screwed it all up with The Last Jedi.
