I would not start Dak against Philly

Has Dak had a HOF career up to this point? Not even close. When he returns, and everyone knows he will, I see the same 22.5 points a game. So what's the big difference between Dak and Rush? Not really as much as some want to believe.

What matters is winning, and I can accept that no matter who the QB is. But its foolish to think the offense is going to explode the moment Dak returns. It's not like a Brady or Mahomes is returning.

The offence put up 16 points with 102 passing yards led by Cooper Rush.

Would you sign up to those 2 stats against the Eagles?

Put this another way, how will you react if Dak comes in and puts up those numbers?

I'm supporting Rush as much as the next man but come on, we have to have better QB production

Dak scored 3 points against the Bucs. Why are some people trying to make it sound like the offense is going to suddenly explode to 400 yards passing and 35 points a game the moment Dak steps back on the field? The chances of this NOT happening are far greater.

Lets be clear - everyone knows Jerry is going to force Dak back onto the field at some point, whether it be next week or the week after. But Dak isn't going to go set the world on fire when he returns. I fully expect the games to be pretty much the same as they are now. This isn't a bad thing either because the team is winning. A win is a win.

Agree in principal, but focusing on 102 passing yards is misleading. Rush went 10/16 with two ridiculous drops that were 100% on the receivers.

The elephant in the room, with Dak, is still EXPECTATION and VALUE FOR CAP MONEY and for that reason we should expect a lot better stats. It is a double edged sword as I feel he thinks he needs to justify the contract when in reality these four games have shown that all we need is a better bus driver and continue to follow the gameplan we've started using. It should suit Dak's skillset....run first, reduce coverage and free the secondary for less risky pass plays.

Don't need 400 but somewhere in the middle

Fair comments.

To be clear, I'm no Dak super fan do I do want the team to win and that's better served with Dak as QB.

I'd might dress him but I wouldn't start him. If Dak goes in there and he's rusty and throws 2 picks and Dallas gets rolled next week. It won't be good for him.
I would start Cooper Rush until he loses. That will slow down the QB controversy thing that the media is trying to push right now.
You go with your best if he's available. I don't care about your "ifs".

I don't see any way they start him @RomoIsGod , it could create something Jerry doesn't want. He's fat and happy sitting at 4-1 and although this game is very important, it's more important not to have a QB controversy going on with media and fans.

If Dak comes out and doesn't play well then Jerry has to defend him all week or more if he doesn't come back playing good. If Rush wins with the same conservative game plan then I don't think anyone questions Jerry's move. It's not worth the risk of Dak having a bad game, on the road, against our division rival for 1st place. Even at 4-2, It's much better than Jerry thought they would be.

There is no QB controversy in Jerry's eyes and he wants to keep it that way. Dak comes back when they feel it's the right game and plays the rest of the season no matter the outcome. Whether this is right or wrong, I believe it's the case. Jerry has to prove he's right.

I just hope we keep winning no matter the QB. Rush has been an amazing calming influence on this offense and I'm sure Dak is chompin' at the bit to get back in and taking back is offense.

My opinion makes no difference on what's gonna happen. I just wanna win football games. Jerry's interference has hurt us before but we cannot control that. The man bought the car and can drive it any way he wants, getting upset over it is a waste of time.

Again, Yards is just a method of winning games. In yesterday's game we didnt need to really step away from the run, it worked (against a good Run Defense), it moved the chains and kept the scoreboard moving (enough for this excellent Defense).

A lot of fan's are still uncertain of Dak due to the way Denver (and then everyone else copied) the use of heavy coverage and forcing Dak to throw. The difference this year is that we have a fit RB combo and a O-Line that's much better at creating lanes.....all the QB needs to do is keep the Defense honest with the odd pass that puts the option in their mind....and keep the run. If Dak also uses his legs...very happy days

Dak scored 50 points on the Eagles last time they played. I'd start Dak!

Not the same defense as last year. They were decimated with injuries last year with perennial Cowboy nemesis Fletcher Cox only playing 5 games. Derek Barnet got injured in game 1. Plus, they were busy adding in the offseason. Its not even close to the same defense Dak put up 50 on.

....I think im of a similar position as yourself. Undeniably DAK is the better QB, but there always seems to be a reason why/how he never fulfills the promise.

What these four games seem to have shown is that a limited QB can work this Offense and so Dak should be able to elevate it, provided he doesnt do to much and sticks to the gameplan.

I think Dak will start. The biggest key will be Moore. He needs to play call like he has the last few weeks. If he returns to ignoring the run and have Dak drop back and wait on long routes it will not go well. He needs to learn the lessons of the past few weeks. We don't need 40 points with this defense.

If it truly matter about just wins, regardless of play, then Daks record of 53-33 is sufficient

Be honest. Dak has not played well since losing to Denver last year.
He has not, I mean there were a couple games after that Denver game, Atlanta/Washington where he played beyond anything we’ve ever seen from Rush.

You are right though, Dak was off, funny enough we won many games without Dak being his best however the “just wins” argument was never given to him.

Either way Dak at his best is head and shoulders above Rush’s best.

There is no controversy, only Dak haters heads.

Cooper went 10 of 16 today for 106 yards and the offenses only TD was a Pollard 57 yard run.

There is zero controversy. Dak starts as soon as he can because he gives us the best chance to win.

To win what? We are already winning. Or have I been watching 5 different games than everyone else? Oh you're talking about playoffs? The one and done that has happened twice?

As I've said many times over, both Dak and Coop are bus drivers that will win us games in the regular season however neither one will get us to a SB... It's just one bus driver is paid well....

He hasn't played well against good teams since the Denver game.

I want Dak back under center when he's healthy. Our game plan should be the same with him back. Be a run heavy offense and pass 15 to 20 times a game. Running the ball chews up the clock and keeps our defense fresh. I like this new dedication to the run game. Let's keep it up.
