Its just a hypothetical for the fans that are about to say "lets win a playoff game first".
Nobody is saying the Cowboys will win the SB so chill yourselves out.

In a hypothetical situation if the cowboys won the SB this year, where would you rank this team amongst the other SB winning teams?

I for one would put this team higher based on the competition in the playoffs and a more difficult era of football compared to years past.

I know some might say well those cowboys teams had great competition but teams such as the 49ers and ravens today would have been super teams back in those days.

Yes there were some amazing defenses back then but do we really believe those team back then would have stood any chance in todays game? I dont.

Yes todays game is different and different era's yadda yadda, but based on difficulty of todays game and era, a cowboys SB win would imo rank them high.

I believe any team that can SB with the like a ravens and 9ers team lurking about should be considered a pretty damn good team for the 23-24 season, if a team other than the ravens or 9ers win the SB.

Will dallas win the SB? maybe not likely, but i just had an hypothetical brainstorm!
No, would be the worse SB Team.
Our past SB winners were juggernauts...

Aside from the Patriots (again this wont ever happen again) there is no cap era team that compares to the pre cap dynasty teams..I dont think any of the patriots teams have great chance at beating those pre cap dynasties either...

The 95 team did , at home against Grbac. Had GB not beat them, we most likely would have gotten worked in SF NFCCG
No. That Niner game was as fluky as it gets. There was so much hype for that game and all kinds of turnovers and broken plays. Stuff happens like that in the regular season. That isn’t happening again at home in the playoffs. The Niners weren’t good enough to be the Packers at home they definitely weren’t going to beat us again on the road.

Oh good gawd, no.

The 92-93 Cowboys would beat this team by 40 points with the starters on the sideline in ballcaps in the 3rd quarter.

Today's NFL is massively inferior.
Lol nah

I keep hearing the NFL is rigged feom people here.

Hence....if we win the SB....is it the equivalent of winning the WWE heavyweight championship belt in wraaastlin'?????

Or.....if we were to win.... would the NFL become legit again?

(I can't wait for the 1st person to say: it's rigged against us and we STILL win the SB, so it's even MORE impressive than a normal SB)

Study.

That 95 team was not that good. There were significant injuries involved in some of those. The 92 team was the beginning of the dynasty, but that team had to find itself along the way.

You're comparing those to this year?

Lol, this team will be lucky to make the NFC championship game.
The 95 team should have lost the SB and that team was way better than this one.

77 and 92 didn't have as many blowouts as this team does. To give this team their respect, I'll call them the most dominant Cowboys team in history IF they win the Super Bowl (especially if they beat Frisco and the Ravens).
We blew out a bunch of scrub teams. At least we didn't play down to our competition like normal but still....the teams we beat were mediocre to bad.

This team would be our weakest SB winning team, if it happened. The '94 team that lost in the conference championship and the '70s teams that lost to Pittsburgh in the SB would also spank this team. I think the teams that Danny White led to three straight conference championships in the early '80s were probably also better. This team struggles to make the Cowboys' top 10 all-time list, even with a ring.

For those of you who think the 1977 Dallas Cowboys would instantly dominate over today's Cowboys...are you serious? Are you really that stupid? Today's NFL teams are far superior athletically and the offensive/defensive schemes are way more sophisticated. Now don't argue with me, just go fetch me a beer.
As for a comparison with the 1992 Cowboys, I do think the 1992 OL along with Emmitt Smith would run over and wear out a DQ defense. Irvin would eat up anyone in our secondary. But the 90s Cowboys offense didn't run up points. And I don't see our offense today handling Charles Haley. But if they could, Dak and CeeDee would roast Larry Brown and Kevin Smith. Even today I would take Haley over Parsons, easy! Parsons is a vastly superior athlete but Haley was a total head case that just knew how to mess up offensive lineman and make QBs suffer. Haley was sadistic!

More difficult? The NFC was a lot tougher in the 90's. In their own division they had the Commanders, Giants who were the two previous super bowl winners from 92, and Eagles team that had one of the best defenses. Add in the 49ers who were a juggernaut at 14-2 with hall of fame players everywhere, and up and coming Packers team ect it's not even close compared to today. Today is waaaaaaaayyyyy easier in the NFC for them. Never mind a Bills team who made 4 straight super bowls waiting for them.
