If I for a choose between the two in January with the exact same team, I take Tony Romo
34How old are you?
Unfortunately I missed 2016. I didn't get to see Dak winning like a mothah uffah, but what I saw this year left me wanting. If either Aikman or Romo were the QB in 2017 we are a SB contender, that’s how much we missed great QB play. Dak played like a below average QB in the NFL and that simply doesn’t cut it.
About to be 35... I suspect?
I, at least, admitted my... hyperbolic hero worship with a straight up "you got me" post. The revisionist history in here is enough to make a Holocaust denier proud. Troy had 3 shots at it with imperfect playoff teams (in other words, something besides a free agency superteam that was top 5 in both offense and defense) and was horrifically bad, posting a QB rating of 51.4 and with 2 TDs and 8 INTs over 4 games. But let’s just pretend that Troy would growl at a few guys and steer this 8-8 ship to the Super Bowl.
How many big games has Peyton Manning played good in? At some point the guys around you have to step up.
Our defenses have just allowed too many points in big games for us to ever stand a real chance.
Aikman usually played with a top NFL defense and could play 2nd fiddle to the Jerry Rice of Runningbacks in Emmitt Smith.
Emmitt was our horse. Aikman just rode the horse.
Romo had to be the horse, driver, teacher, and whatever else you can think of.
Aikman just played in a more optimal situation.
When FA killed our roster Aikman was a shell.
I tried to partner up, but he said my garbage was "just too much stinkier" and I got fired before I got hired. That's hilarious. Do you write this garbage on your own?
For one win, yes they can. 3 in 4 years no they can't.They look like Trent Dilfer.
If Aikman was the QB, he may have retired or demanded a trade after two years trying to throw to Dez Bryant. If he couldn’t get Dez to run the routes with the precision that allowed his accuracy and timing throws to spots, he would have gone crazy! If Aikman was the current QB of the Cowboys this past season in his prime, how do you think he would fare with these receivers and what do you think his opinion would be of them?

Touché. Obviously a younger clapper should be able to take on an older clapperThe clapper was there back then too
Irvin, who's Irving?

He’d still be in a body cast from the Atlanta game.
Bull. In his prime Aikman took MUCH worse beatings than that and came back week after week. In his first and second year he got pounded, he even got sacked 11 times against the Eagles in his third season. And don't forget, many of the hits he took back then that were perfectly legal would get penalties today.
I think a lot of our fans don't really remember the 89, 90 and 91 seasons or they'd have an entirely different perception of Troy.
Reggie White and Jerome Brown brought the heat that day for sure for the egirls 11 sack day.
Aikman has more super bowl rings than Romo has playoff wins, and he's a HOFer. You can't even compare their careers.
