Youre wrong

Then again, you think Dak is good/talented so its safe to say you dont kno what youre looking at

I’m not wrong at all but go on thinking I am.

Aikman played in the most optimal situation a QB has ever played in and as soon as FA hit the team he was a shell not capable of carrying a team like Romo was capable of.

Maybe Aikman was better under the circumstances that he played under then Romo would’ve been but Romo was certainly better under the circumstances he played under then Aikman woulve been..

And Emmitt Smith was a better player then both of them. Emmitt was the greatest Cowboy of all time and we were awful without him. We could win without Aikman but not without Emmitt.

Now, ask me if Romo was here in 2017 if the results would be different. I'd have to think about that one. Romo and Dez had their act together. So did Romo and Witt. I have to think just a little bit when people compare Romo to Aikman. Aikman had great teams around him until he didn't. In that respect, Romo was a better QB but when the bright lights went on in the playoofs and SB, Troy upped the ante big time. Romo never did that. Give me Romo for 13 games, Aikman for the last 3 when it counted most and in the playoffs!!

No way to tell how Aikman would do if he played in this era, but one thing any true Cowboy fan knows is, Ervin was a far better route runner than Dez, and also had great hands. Troy would not tolerate the shoddy route running we sometimes see now, oh sure Aikman was accurate, but accuracy doesn't matter if the receiver isn't where he is supposed to be. The nineties Cowboys won not only because of outstanding players, and coaches, the players also performed and executed at the highest level when on the field.

Troy is one of the most accurate passers in history. Even today I think he can beat David Carr in a passing contest

Irving, who’s Ervin?

No indeed. Had Aikman been allowed to sling it, his numbers would have been gaudy...
He also didnt throw idiotic interceptions, he was a consistent winner so we were running out the clock alot in the second half not slinging it around desperately tryng to come back from the egg he just laid like tony "my bad" romo

How old are you?
The only people who could possibly think Romo was any where near Aikman as a qb must have showed up around Aikmans last few years where he was a beat up shell of himself. Anyone who enjoyed what Troy brought us from 91-96 would never even jokingly compare The chubby choker to the great Troy Aikman, If I had to chose any qb ever for one game it would be Troy in his prime! Il take him against Brady, Rodgers, Elway, anyone, at his best he was the best Ive ever seen, back to back superbowl blowouts baby!

Recency bias. And yes, Aik had better teams, but he never killed a playoff game with a disastrous mistake either.
That stuff counts, in the End.

You mean the Aikman who threw 3 picks in the NFCCG? Or the one that threw 3 picks in the divisional round against the Panthers? Or how about the one that threw 3 picks in the wild card round against the Cardinals?

He also lost a shootout in a playoff game against Jeff George with a 0 TD 1 INT "effort."

Aikman was great, but this "never did a thing wrong" stuff is ridiculous.

Lets go thru some of Romo games with multiple int's if you have time? Most were not in the playoffs and that is for a reason.

If Aikman was the current QB of the Cowboys this past season in his prime, how do you think he would fare with these receivers and what do you think his opinion would be of them?
He would expect more from them. Me would not tolerate petulant outbursts from dez.
He'd use Beasley and witten often.
