If Austin is the #2, Would You Take This?

This thread is going to be a fun read, indeed. ;)
I wonder if it will be the reality check I hope it will be.

That is also assuming Roy Williams will grab 79 receptions, 1,241 yards, 6 TDs and a 16 yard average like Irvin did in 94.
I think he will exceed the yardage and TDs, but have around 60 to 70 catches. Witten, Bennett, and Crayton will all produce. I think the RBs will contribute tot he passing game more than last year.

Not really because you can count on Witten out performing Novacek's 1994 season of 47 catches for 475 yards and 2 TDs.

And we're likely to attempt more than the 448 passes the 1994 team attempted. We attempted 547 last year and 531 the year before.

I was going to bring that out later. We think alike now and then.

The real question is, can Romo put up 2676 yards, 13 TD and 12 INT?
You should pay attention to 2006, 2007, and 2008. It more than answers your question.

Those numbers are unrealistic and could never happen.

So much for ...

the big difference between Alvin Harper in 94 and Miles Austin is that prior to 94, to be specific, in 1993, Harper put up similar #s...Miles Austin has NEVER prodcued anything close to 36, 800, and 8. With that said, I fully expect Miles Austin to have a big season in 09, but like I mentioned earlier, I am expecing something in the neighborhood of 40, 600, and 5..

Do you know the stats on Romo's hurries, knockdowns, and sacks?

33 receptions (barely over 2 per game)

821 yards (it is a 24.9 ypc avg.)

8 TDs (the important stat)

My gut reaction is those numbers sound curiously like the stats one Alvin Harper put up for the Cowboys, once upon a time... that ypc led the league that season...

Sounds right to me...

I knew who Hos was talkin' about right from the first post... honest...

Reality, what a concept... :D

Get well soon, Robin...

So I guess the real question then is....

Is Miles Austin Alvin Harper?

If he is, then it seems relevant to me. If not, then I don't see what Harper did as really all that relevant to Austin.

Assuming there is a point being made in this thread.

If its just asking the question (and no point is being made), then yes, I'd be happy with those numbers from Austin.

I'd be happy with 30 catches, 500 yards, and 5-6 TDs to be honest. So, I'd be pretty stoked if he put up those numbers. Hopefully he does.
