If Dak bombs another game do you want to see Rush/Lance?

Lance would have no problem executing our Basic Offense.

problem is, Dak cant.
That might be true. We do not know what Lance is at this point. If he was for sure competent, SF would've easily gotten a 1st+ for him.

At best 4-2 or at worst 3-3 going into the Bye Week…

Cowboys Nation Fringe Element is embarrassing…..Dak Haters have zero intestinal fortitude :lmao: :lmao2:
Let's see, according to the last poll on here, 95% of posters have no intestinal fortitude.

Looks to me as if it's the opposite. 5% lack the intestinal fortitude to understand when it's time to move on.

By all means, let's play Rush. We need the top 10 draft pick.

There are around 7 good QB prospects in this next draft class. I agree, get one.

He may not be better than Dak, who knows, but what I do know is this: We're on year 8 and Dak is not the answer. Move on.
It would stand to reason that there would be a Kenny Pickett type (ready to play bus driver) to be had in the mid first round of the upcoming draft.

Problem there is the rest of the team better be very solid. They aren’t, and refuse to sign any top free agents, so would the Dak savings even matter, or just that much more set aside for Lamb and Parsons?

Was thinking the other day…at Jerry’s age, why not do what’s necessary to put the team over the top? The answer is twofold….he isn’t capable and doesn’t want to be exposed, and he truly believes things are much better than they actually are.

They have been over estimating their own players forever….something that isn’t going to stop happening.

Counting on mid-round picks to fill key starting positions….and immediately…is just plain stupid.

We know Dak is not the answer. Some of us have known a lot longer than others. As soon as we start the process to find a franchise Quarterback the better.

For those wanting to see Lance, you also have to look at the NFL rules here.

Dallas has been declaring Trey Lance as "inactive" but he's been allowed to suit up as the 3rd QB. The rules state that Lance cannot play, even in mop up duty, unless the number one AND number two quarterbacks are injured and unable to return to the game.

So if the Cowboys want to see Lance in a game, they will have to make him the number two QB and make Rush the inactive third. Or simply activate all three QB's for the game at the expense of another player.

I have absolutely no hope Dak is going to play any better and beat San Diego. I just don’t. How many would be ready to see Rush/Lance thrown into the mix???
Outside the 49er game, the offense has been able to move the football and struggled in the red zone. Both the run/pass game struggled against an elite defense in the 49ers, you don’t bench a QB cause of one bad game.

There is no point of playing Rush.

Hes good if you need him in spot duty but there is no future there.

If you make the switch you go to Lance.
This. Rush won’t win anything, so we may as well kick the tires on Trey.

Well if the problem is Dak, and it looks like that to me (McCarthy is a crappy play caller though) and we can salvage the season, why not? McCarthy is not overthrowing tight ends by a mile.
I'd say it's 75% Fat Mike and 25% Dak. I hate to say it, but I wish we had Kellen back right now. This McCarthy offense is stale as it gets and doesn't work in 2023.

If everything is going good and we have a lead then Dak’s fine.

Just don’t ask him to go win you a game.

If the game comes to him he’s good.

If you ask him to go take a game then we’re in trouble.

I disagree paying guys like that a ton of money.

The Rookie contract is better than paying top dollar for a mediocre QB.

Which is the issue if you aren't going to ask a QB to win games for you there is no reason to pay him $50 million a season.

Go young, and use the CAP savings to build out the rest of the roster.

As my buddy put it: "Jerry covets his own players."

You hit it squarely. Jerry is not capable. And one of the biggest areas he is not capable in is simply player evaluation. He doesn't have a clue. Look at these gems:

Brandon Flowers was a #2 type CB.

Romo was weak at throwing slants. Roy Williams was specifically a slant runner.

It's absolutely mindboggling to me that I knew this and he didn't. Info was readily available.

Those who do wanted to see the backup before the first game. The reality is Dak is the QB and will remain the QB as long as he’s healthy.

SF got the cap space back. Plus a late round pick.

If you have some spare time, watch some of Lance's QB play. impressive.

No way they bench Purdy boy.
