Lol. I agreed. Weeden, Cassel and Moore sucked. No arguments from me. Even Dak isn’t good.

If dak can't throw, how do you explain 2016?
If zeke was a crutch for dak in 2016, how do you explain week 1?
Better than 4.6 yards per carry and a TD isn't too shabby. Stacked box or not. The QB failed to make them pay. You can't blame Zeke for only getting 15 carries, so I don't see why he has to make any excuses.
That's typical of great running backs. Their big runs seperate them from zeke and the theo riddicks of the world. It isn't deceiving it's par for the course. The 4.6 average is deceiving. Zeke had two carries longer than 4 yards - one for 7, another for 14. He averaged 3.5 on the other 14 carries.
Coupled with being 2/12 on 3rd/4th down that made for a lot of short possessions.
That's not hard at all. 1st down, Zeke for 6 or 7. 2nd down, Zeke for 6 or 7. Defense brings safeties up because they cannot stop Zeke. Dak has easy one man reads. If dak can't throw, how do you explain 2016?

It was well known that Garrett loved Wentz and the Cowboys should have traded up to get him. It wouldn't have cost nearly as much to move up a few spots. They tried to package to trade up in the first fit Lynch after getting Zeke, but nobody was budging. Again, their expectation was Romo had about 3 or 4 years left and they needed to start the process. So since they couldn’t package to trade up to ge him, Jerry and the FO were fine with going after a developmental guy such as Cook and Dak to learn under Romo.. the Raiders jumped up before then and grabbed Cook even though he was higher on the board.
That's not true. Did you see what the Eagles had to part with to get Wentz? Yes, they were trading from further back, but The draft value chart difference between two and four is substantial (800 points = a mid-late first rounder in value + plus our pick at #4). Even if we do this, there is no gaurantee that a team that wanted Wntz would move to number 1.It was well known that Garrett loved Wentz and the Cowboys should have traded up to get him. It wouldn't have cost nearly as much to move up a few spots.

thats the point Carolina game all 1 on 1s and many wr and te were very open..he missed them all,..big plays were there to be had and he just isn't letting it fly and he regressed from even the good 2016 he had..that is the answer.. he no longer even seeing the field and I believe the main reason he was better in 16 is he has Romo and Sanchez in his ear between series telling him what hes missing..im not sure this coaching staff is helping him at all..That's not hard at all. 1st down, Zeke for 6 or 7. 2nd down, Zeke for 6 or 7. Again I ask where are you getting your information from. How can you say he was physically spent, as if it was a factNo, Im a Romo supporter as well. Romo was physically spent. Maybe could have pushed another year out of him. But with the Oline problems he would have gotten hurt bad. But I guess we will never know because he quit.

Its just not true. Its something you told yourself to justify starting the rookie over the veteran.
Quit? He was treated like **** and disrespected in 2016. Then they jerked him around in 2017 by not releasing him as they promised. Thats when cbs swooped in.
He wasnt spent and he didnt quit.
The Cowboys organization and the Cowboys nation abandoned him
I'm convinced that he quit because of the CBS job more than his last injury. Getting one of the two top color commentaty jobs in broadcasting made Romo decide to retire. These jobs come along every 15-20 years and Romo had to think of what was best for him and his family. Without the job offer, recovering from the injury proved that Romo would have been willing to reclaim his starting spot in 2017 (and doubt that Dak could have won the job from him), but I give him credit for taking the job at CBS.Ok well he quit. That is a fact. Retiring is quitting. Which is also self admitting that he was spent. But then you can just reference the several broken back problems he had.
He was 100% spent and he 100% quit. Facts are stubborn things.
FYI...……...there are 31 other teams in the NFL. He could played for another team. But he was spent, so he quit.

Got to disagree here. If Dak had pulled a Nick Foles and won the Super Bowl, I might agree, but if Romo comes back in 2017, he could have competed and won his job back. There were a number of people rooting against that (Garrett, Stephen etc.), but I think Jerry would have put his foot down and told Stephen where to go. I don't doubt for a minute that Romo would have won the job from Dak if he wanted to compete for it.This.
Here were his priorities
1) Get a fair chance to compete to start on the Cowboys in 2017
2) same
3) same
4) interchangeable between
..a) Compete to start in Denver or maye Houston
..b) Land a once in a 2 decade opportunity in the networks (so plenty of family time still)
5) retire and chill out for a year
6) take a mid range job in the networks
that's it.
The following were not really considered
playing for non contender
playing for Dallas but not being able to compete fair and square
taking a beginner level (travel heavy, low paying) network job
The guy gave his heart, soul and body parts to the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL
If he wasn't gonna be able to fairly compete on the team he loved, he really was fine with hanging it up...especially given the amazing network job offer.
He left taking the high road, so past time to move on.
