So the defense was good enough to carry a stiff like Rush, but isn't good enough to carry Dak.

It got worse as the weeks rolled on. There was a noticeable and I'm sure statistical difference when Dak came back.

I was just happy we were winning but people are having revisionist history on that stretch…

No Rush wasn’t embarrassing he played well for his standard which is a backup qb. It was the offense that was embarrassing.

Providing Dak plays out this season and leaves Dallas. Where could he honestly go and win a Super Bowl in the next 3 years ? I don't think there's any place better than where he is now. Mostly all the contenders have a solid QB in place. Someone mentioned Las Vegas, but they aren't passing KC anytime soon. Every QB needy team has at least 2-3 roadblocks in their conference to deal with. Dak may not make a difference.

The better opportunity would be to stay in NFC. The AFC is stacked .

I’m a Dak fan I don’t hide it. But my fandom of Dak doesn’t have anything to do with my opinion that this team won in spite of Rush and the first time it took more than 20’points to win we got throttled by the Eagles.

Just curious….why do you think no one tried to sign Rush?

There would be a revolt that the masses have never seen. There would be riots all over the world setting fires!

Dak must stay a Cowboy or bad things will get even worse come game time.

I’m all for moving on from Prescott if we have a heir apparent.

We need to be careful what we wish for. I’m not sure our dysfunctional ownership will do better.

And the Romo and Dak eras could become a highlight reel for the Cowboys in 21st Century.

I know the SB or Bust fans don’t care, but just saying. It’s one thing choking in the playoffs , it’s quite another not sniffing them.

We could be without a legit starting QB. Rush is a solid backup. Notice no one pursued him last year when was available.

Dak is what he is. Not great and stumbled in playoffs but he’s enough to get there consistently.

Without a replacement or plan for heir apparent we must be prepared to become a non playoff team.

Our ownership should have drafted and developed a heir apparent to make this transition much easier .

Absolutely correct. Can you imagine what we would be hearing IF Rush hadn't won all those games?

It would be proof divine that it's all Dak magic. But he won so it must have been the defense carrying him, the other team didn't take him seriously, pure luck, something.

Couldn't possibly be that the difference between Dak & a backup that isn't even coveted by other teams isn't that large.

Against the Lions he had 324 yards and 2 touchdowns
253 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Dolphins
