If Dak was still playing would we be 3-9?

Yeah, he broke his leg or more specifically his ankle. Why?
There was a video of a doctor here and he analyzed the video and showed that the ankle was breaking before contact if that is what you are getting at.
accuracy.

We might have won a few more, but not much more with this defense, who did a credible job in a couple of games and then disappeared.
Our trick shot offense shot its own foot and turned the ball over too much.
Coaching decisions have been, well, weird at times.
Not enough consistency overall for any aspect of the game to be counted on.
For some reason, despite Dak's heroics and stats, we weren't winning when it mattered.
He's good, but not high dollar good.
Time to start over.

No, we would’ve completely discombobulated the Steelers by at least 3 TDs. We completely dominated that game with a QB in which I have forgot his name (and I’m not joking).
The Steelers would not have come into that game with the same mentality if they were facing Dak. It is easy for a team to play a flat, unmotivated game when they know they will be facing a backup QB. Dallas is not on the same level as the Steelers and the Steelers would have shown how much better they are if they felt like they were going to lose the game.

They may not have cared either way.

So, Atlanta gets credit for the win despite the fact they lost, and despite the Cowboys handing them first half points after turnovers, and despite screwing up the onside kick? That's nonsense. If Dallas loses because they screw up, that means they didn't do what they needed to win and the other team did. Why would the same applies in reverse? Also, every other team gets credit for wins even when they were helped by mistakes by their opponents, so why wouldn't Dallas?
Are you seriously going to call the Atlanta game a bona fide win????? Someone needs to check them self because we lose that game if those dumber than dumber players would of jumped on that ball after it travel far less than ten yards. Hell, they were the only players around the ball for 3-4 yrds, then once it got past the needed 10 yds we had someone falling on the football like it was a grenade about to go off. This game might of counted in our win column but we had no business winning it. But that's here nor there, if Dak was still playing this year we would not be 7-5! Dak struggled mightily this year at the start of games and it put us behind the cue ball every game he started...............

..Dak was putting up 35+pt games, augmented with 400+ yds. Carried the defense every game. Did you just watch the highlights?
Lately people's posts are just asinine! Dak was putting up points because we were constantly playing from behind which allowed defenses to play zone defenses against us. It's called bend but don't break which is why we were 1-4 when Dak went down. Just because you have a jillion posts doesn't mean squat about your football knowledge!

We’ve never not been a respectable team with Dak at QB, no matter what trash he has around him or how terrible the defense is.

That’s how you know Dak’s a stud.
Dak Prescott from Jr. High to the NFL has never had a losing season as the full time season starter for team.

You are what you are.....a winning franchise QB that does not have a long term deal from Jerry Dumbo GM Jones.

...nope, I honestly think Dak would have us at least 7-5. There were a few games the defense played well to win them. Of course with Dak at the helm. Dalton is just a leg worth all of Dak.

But I suppose whatever was not right with the team, would eventually get exposed.

..thoughts? ..

Yes, we'd be at 3-9.

We might have won the philly and Pitt game. Imo but defense is so bad, can’t see a big difference

Yes, this team would still be floundering in the cellar of the worst division in the NFL.. Dak would find it difficult to accept the tanking idea, being that a very high pick might involve the Cowboys getting his replacement. That would be awkward.

Im amused that people actually think if we draft a bunch of good defensive players things will change and this team will be a playoff team. If you go back over the years there have been games where the defense has shown up and Dak disappears.

Not really an eggnog type of dude. There are far too many people out there trying to give Dak all this credit for being some great QB in this league and he's not. Dak is an average QB at best in an average league, yes he's going to get his yards but he's not going to win you any SBs and we already know that he's not going to get us to the playoffs every year.

To Praxit: your supposition is moot.
All the OLine injuries that occurred after Prescott went out...would his play have overcome those major setbacks?
I doubt it.
The Cowboys 2020 season is what it is - extreme collapse.

Not having Dak is a big reason the team is 3-9. To even ask the question tells me you are a Dak hater.
