If Dallas loses to Philly on Thanksgiving, then we are all but done for the division

As much as we have to worry. Philly needs to worry more. A loss on Thanksgiving headed into a match up with Seattle against that defense would have me pessimistic since a loss to Seattle, GB, SF and ARI would all but eliminate them from being a WC and it would put them at a potential two game gap headed towards the rematch.

Philly should be worried!! Their ST have been saving them and it won't help them vs us or Seattle. Watch Philly lose the next 3. I know I will.

They won't stop our run game and I dare them to put 8 in the box with their weak tackling beyond the first level. Murray will hit 175 if they try that.

When they play Seattle, watch how they make Sanchez beat them and fail.

My question is after the next two games will Sanchez have more INT's than Romo's TDs?

Is our fanbase the only fans that gets more crazy in their opinions after a win?

If Dallas loses to Philly on Thanksgiving day, then we are all but done in the NFC East division race. We would lose the tiebreaker with Philly, the next game with Philly is in their place and we would also drop to 2 and 2 in division games. The odds are that we would have to beat Philly in the rematch, AND win out to ensure we got in.

Gee. someone took a pessermistic pill today!
We play Philly again. I am pretty sure we chock up a win in one of those two games.

And without give Dallas the kiss of dearth, i say we whip Philly TWICE this year.
With the time I saw the O line giving Romo, we might be unstoppable.
Plus Beasley is playing like a beast.

Correct. They have to sweep the Eagles to win the division.

Actually, incorrect. If the Eagles sweep Dallas but lose to the Giants, Commanders and Seahawks, and the Cowboys beat the Commanders, Colts and Bears, then Dallas would win the division.

It's an improbable scenario, though.

Honest question. Since both teams are 8-3, wouldn't a loss for them be every bit as catastrophic given they would essentially be a full game and a half behind us given the head to head lead?

Just trying to figure out why we'd be doomed but they could weather it.

Dude, 12-4 isn't even going to win the division this year let alone get in the playoffs. /fans

They have the better division record.

We are not missing the playoffs at 11-5.
Of that I am pretty certain. I just don't think the Niners and Lions are both going 4-1 or better.

Is this a stone cold lock?
Can I go ahead and bet my retirement? Thanks in advance.

I think the Lions will implode and I believe the Seahawks will sweep the Niners, which would be great since the Cowboys hold the tie breaker with them.

That might be the most "ifs" I have ever seen in a single post, and I spend a lot of time around here so that's saying something.

Dallas does not have to sweep the Eagles to win the NFCE. Philly closes the season with 3 straight NFCE games and would not be surprised if they lose to the Giants or Commanders. Consider this. The Eagles will play Seattle sandwiched between 2 games against Dallas before traveling to NY. That will be some seriously physical football. Remember earlier in the year about teams losing the week after playing Dallas? Now imagine teams playing Dallas twice in 3 weeks and playing Seattle? Philly will be beat up the last couple of weeks.

I don't think the Eagles lose to the Giants or the Commanders, they just don't seem to play near as hard against Philly as they do against Dallas.

This is the biggest game this season. We have to go out and show the world what we're made of. We win were only 1 game (basically 2) out of the top spot in the whole NFC. Bring it on.

Have to win this game if we want the division, I can't see us winning in Philly.

I see it just the opposite. I think we split w/ Phili either way and if they win this week, we win there given our "road warrior" mentality. They still have to play both division rivalry games away the last 2 weeks and the Seahags. I think they will drop one or two other games as well.

Yeah it seems when we need one of those division rivals to win a game they just fold.

I thought this thread was absolutely ********...after playing with the playoff machine it appears the OP is correct...barring a sweep of the Eagles, they win every single tiebreaker...

This is not encouraging....of course we could win the division outright...but it's not comforting that we can't win any tiebreakers without sweeping them
