If Dallas Wins in Tampa will you admit you were wrong?

Not based on one game, no. If Dallas wins two playoff games in a row by playing smart football, I'll come online at CZ and admit that I was totally wrong, and that paying Zeke and Dak those huge sums of money were totally smart moves, as was trading Amari Cooper for peanuts. To win two playoff games in a row, it will take a smart game plan, and quality execution with few mistakes. There should be excellent clock management, and very few picks. We won't see idiotic BS like a QB throwing a foolish pass that is almost a pick 6, and then turning around on the next play to throw the EXACT kind of errant pass that is a pick 6.

Play some great football, winning two playoff games in a row, and I'll happily admit I'm wrong. I'll even say, "I was being ridiculous when I said, 'Don't pay Dak that much' and 'Don't pay Zeke that much'."

Philly wasn't going to lose....NYG did not play their starting QB Jones an RB Barkley and many others...yes the NYG backups made it look closer than it was,....but it was never in doubt who was gonna win.... the most likely outcome was the Cowboys got the 5th seed and which they did get the 5th seed.....As embarrassing as it was, this Washington game was nothing more that a practice game........yes....if Philly started losing against the NYG then it would be different but that was never close to happening....

I have been a Cowboys fan for over 30yrs and still dont drink the Cowboys Koolaid...it is what it is....

But I believe in MM and the Cowboys..if they play up to the their level anything is possible......history says dont trust this team but my gut say....a win and this team could be dangerous...and might even prove fans wrong....
With ya on the fan part .. since 1965 here. I honestly just can't get comfortable with Dak. I like the guy but I wait and expect him to do something totally unbelievably bad .. and usually at the worst time. If you watch closely, he really misses a lot of passes .. a LOT. His accuracy is really sub-par. Just don't see how we can prosper for a Tournament run.

Of course, it could happen but .. well, you get the picture.

Jerry has truly brainwashed some of you into being happy with simply making the playoffs and possibly winning one game. The OP here asks if we’ll own up to being “wrong”, as if beating the Bucs in the Wild Card round is something special

I want a damn Super Bowl.
Understand and agree. Just don't get why folks feel such a need to declare, proclaim and postulate (like they actually know), I honestly don't get it.

I don't think it is, but didn't a 9-7 Eli's NYG beat Brady's Pats?
It can happen.
.. an unbeaten Brady Team. NYG were certainly NOT the best team in the League that season. They won the Tournament and that is all.

Brady is 7-0 against Dallas. So, I for one will be very happy to send Brady into retirement by Dallas. That being said. I do believe Dallas will play better. But I also believe they will find away to lose it late. That's who they are.
Agree 100%. So, for the sake of a possibly good discussion, WHY do they lose it late? Culture? Coach? OC? Playing in the Dallas fishbowl? QB? .. it could go on forever. Just really curious what folks think.

By some remote chance, should Dallas win in Tampa, are all of you who are loudly proclaiming a “No Contest”, going to come back here and say you were wrong?

I don’t know what will happen with a fraction of the certainty that you game-masters do .. so, I don’t say.

But, I don’t look as much like an idiot as many either ..
So, are we now doing call out threads for game predictions now?

Not a good look OP, not a good look at all.

Obviously, if the Cowboys win then they were wrong. There is nothing for them to admit that everybody, including themselves, wouldn't already know.

In any case, it should be perfectly understandable given the way this season ended combined with the futility of the past 26 seasons, for any Cowboys fan to feel this way. This is very familiar territory, and it typically ends poorly for the Cowboys.

Even when the Cowboys win, they still haven't accomplished anything special until they win in the divisional round.

No I'm not admitting I'm wrong because I'm not

I've stated that the team could beat Tampa Bay easily if the right team shows up.

Do I stand a chance in hell of predicting what team will show up no I do not.

We are fairly healthy and capable of beating any team in the NFC if the right team comes to play if yesterday's team comes to play we couldn't beat their practice squad.

What I will claim is that we are one of the most inconsistent teams I have ever witnessed

A 12-5 team should be able to easily beat a team with a losing record on the road. If they dont, there's something seriously wrong.

I will admit I am wrong if they manage to beat the Bucs next week. Hope I am wrong but wouldn't bet on this team.

This team is limping into the playoffs, the loss of Steele and Biadasz has killed the run game and the pass protection is struggling as well. Throw in serious issues opposite of Diggs and it is a recipe for one and done.

should they have to? seriously answer one question - which Cowboys team is going to show up next week? Do you know?
For me, from what I saw as of late from this team, nah I think it will be the same and we wont really play like we belong.
If they win against the Bucs, will I admit to being wrong? dang straight I will.... for one week. This team has the talent, and yeah we have seen them put it together on the field, but one thing this team is great at is being consistently inconsistent.

First off, I've never bashed the cowboys for the way they played. Everyone runs the chance that they will lay and egg sometime in the season.

2 things...

1- You don't expect to lay that egg last game of the season rolling into the playoffs unless the game is meaningless and you're resting everyone. Either you play to win, or you through your subs in and roll the dice. Reality is Eagles were playing their main guys, didn't look close to the last on side kick, but what if the Giants would have picked it up and miraculously won the game? In some aspects, the Eagles did the Cowboys a favor by winning the way the Boys played.

2- The cowboys have a Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jeykyll. You really never know who is going to show and and in what quarter. That's scary as a fan and you can't help but wonder about coaching somewhere in the mix.

Best the Boys can do is put this game behind them (hopefully they can) and play like it's the playoffs, which it is.

Wrong about what? I'd say the odds are against us, but it wouldn't totally surprise me if Dallas beat Tampa. But we're not beating the Eagles or 49ers.

Let me get this straight. You say "by some remote chance".....as in a fluke....cowboys win...

then you demand they come in and apologize?

Dude....

do you even know what a "remote chance" is?

"lay an egg....SOMETIME"?
1 - I always try to be a "half full" kind of glass of water guy;)

2 - The Cowboys are making their second straight appearance in the playoffs, and finished this season 12-5 with the third best record in the NFC.

3 - MM has been with the Cowboys for 3 years, having a 30-19 overall record (10 of those loses in the first year when he inherited a "very interesting" laying no ground work for winning when he came in).

4 - NFL fans tend to be knee jerk reactive and bipolar for some reason. All one has to do is look towards Andy Reid and his couple losing years (not all his own shoulders IMO) with the Eagles and their fans seemed happy he was gone. I don't think Andy Reid is complaining. This however leads us to the end point with ownership and how the owner "behaves" within in organization, and until the Ringmaster (AKA Jerry Jones) either leaves or change his personality, the Cowboys may forever be a one and done team in the playoffs if you can get a coach to put up with him.

Only my opinion and we all know what they are like...

No they will root for whoever the Cowboys are playing the following week so they can say "I told you so"
