Give me the moves you would make this offseason...

1) It looks like we are going to lose Garrett and Sparano. I would replace both with Cam Cameron and Hudson Houck.

2) Resign Barber, Canty and Davis

3) Do not bring back Julius Jones, Terry Glenn, Jason Ferguson, Flozell Adams, Jacques Reeves or Ken Hamlin.

4) Move Anthony Henry to FS. Lost speed makes this a good move.

5) Let Doug Free battle McQuistan for the LT position. Free was drafted to replace Flo and now is the time.

6) Use the money saved from letting some our guys go to resign Newman, Ware to LONG term deals. Resign Owens to a 2 yr. extension.

FREE AGENTS

Sign Bryant Johnson (Arizona) to play opposite of Owens. You won't have to break the bank to sign a really good hidden talent.

Sign Drayton Florence (San Diego) to play opposite of Newman or nickle CB.

DRAFT

1A - Antoine Cason - CB - Arizona

Antoine would battle Florence to start with the loser playing nickle. Cason would be looking to start by year 2.

1B - James Henry - WR - Indiana

I love this kids talent. Reminds me of Plaxico. He would battle Crayton for the 3rd WR' position in the 1st year but would start in the future. Possibly to replace Owens.

2 - Chris Johnson - RB - ECU

I think this guy is going to end up being one of the better backs in the draft.
Great back to pair with Barber.

You are nuts if you do not want to bring back Hamlin. Henry is still a better CB then most of what is out there. Keep him there but definitly sign a good FA CB and draft one high.

How high in the draft will the Talib kid from Kansas go? He is a local producct and probably the best corner in the draft.

I agree. Also, I would keep Terry Glenn. If he stays healthy he's still a very dangerous weapon. He's also younger than T.O.

I think Hamlin is going to be asking for too much money. And him making the pro-bowl didn't help from his ego expanding. If we didn't have a cap then yes lets just sign everybody to big deals but that's not the reality. Henry is getting to injury prone to depend on at CB.

Hamlin is a priority, the rest i'm with. if i'm GM i STOP RESIGNING GUYS PREMATURELY and renegotiating (ellis, crayton & even romo) as it makes our less hungry.

we've been fat cats since KO'ing #4 and letting aaron scrub rogers nearly defeat us. an avalanche since.

go for culture change too. Roy GONE. Ellis GONE both have anti-leadership skils. nice guys but no burning desire.

Mine is going to be a bit maverick.

I would fire Wade and hire Garrett. I like the idea of Cam Cameron as OC but I'd prefer Mike Solari on the OL with Marco Rivera as an OL Assistant.

Bowles and Pasqualoni are likely following Sparano to Miami. I'd promote Dat to LBs Coach. Move Brian Stewart to DB coach and Dom Capers as the DC.

I have no idea what I would do for Special Teams coach yet, but Read would be gone.

I would put Transition tags on Barber and Canty in case anyone wants to pony up a 1st and a 3rd for them. I would hate to lose them, but good business is good business.

I would trade Akin Ayodele, Jason Ferguson, and Greg Ellis to Detroit for WR Roy Williams.

I would let Terry Glenn go. Same with Julius Jones, Oliver Hoyte, Tyson Thompson, and Flozell Adams. Jacques Reeves and Nate Jones would both be gone.

I would re-sign Ken Hamlin and pay him extra to work with Roy all off season on reading coverages. I would re-sign Ladoucer.

I would try and trade Anthony Fasano to the Dolphins for a day 1 pick.

In the Draft I would take Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona in round 1 with Cleveland's pick unless he was dropping on charts, then I'd take him with ours. I would use the other pick on either an OT like Sam Baker of USC, or a WR like Adarius Bowman or Limas Sweed, possibly Mario Manningham. There will be RBs in the 2nd round. In the 3rd round I would grab Owen Schmitt, FB, West Virginia. If I was successful in trading Fasano I would use that pick on Spencer Larsen, ILB, Arizona.

Day 2 of the Draft would be dedicated to QB, CB, and WR. Especially if the CB or WR has return skills.

What's there to prevent Cameron and Capers from following Garrett to Baltimore if he goes? They do have a history together. I do like your ideas, though.

If you trade A Akodele (sp?) go, who would you replace him with? S Larsen?

Or do you go after a vet in FA?

I don't see why anything would prevent them from going with him. I would keep him here at all costs.

In truth I wish Wade would say let him be the Head Coach and I'll be the DC. I don't dislike Wade at all, but I am thinking long term.

Burnett or Carpenter, with Anthony Spencer replacing Ellis, and whichever LB doesn't win the job being the main sub for all 4 LB spots. Larsen is great on Special Teams. I would let him groom into the poisition. If he can take it...all the better.

I'm with you. Wade is 60; a bit long in the tooth, if you ask me. It would be a radical move but, being the GM, it would probably be in the best interests of the Cowboys to promote RedBall before letting him go.

I'd do it! :D

I had RB on Day 1, only because I put a Transition Tag on Barber. If he stayed I would be just as happy with a day 2 RB to groom, and promote the kid from the Practice Squad to Thompson's spot.

I would want a day 1 RB even if we kept Barber. I just see success at places like Minny and NO of last year with 2 superb RBs and would like to see it here. Plus I think it would prolong Barbers career or I see him going the way of Jamal Anderson the way he pplays the gaem.

Where is Stewart projecting nowadays anyway?

Depends on the scouting service.

Stewart, Rice, Chris Johnson, and Felix Jones are projected behind McFadden and Smith of South Florida on most services. Most think only 2 RBs go in the 1st, possibly 3. That puts a lot of potential talent in the 2nd round.
