If Romo can go, then play him against the Cardinals. This is a must win game.

Then, I would sit him against the Jags and give him a full two weeks off to heal until the Giants game.

But that's me. Weeden can beat the Jags and Romo can rest. It has a dual affect. Rest Romo and give Weeden snaps with the ones for a full game.

For Romo or any player on the team if they medically check out and can go then they play. This is the NFL few around the league are 100% if a player can go then he plays

I sit Romo till he heals properly and can produce again. Right now Weeden looks very good in a bus driver role, in fact the offense looked better when Weeden came in and we started putting up points very quickly. Playing Romo now the way he is now would be inhumane..

If we trot Romo out there it's a suicide mission...

lmao...I laughed audibly at my desk at work at this one. Needed the laugh today too, thank you, sir.

I would agree that it is not a must win but it is a big game and can have a big impact at the end of the season in terms of byes and home field.

If Romo is medically cleared and feels that he can handle the pain he will play, and indeed he should play. If he plays this week there's a very very tiny chance he doesn't play next week.

Unless they haven't released additional medical information this is a pain management issue, and I'd bet on Romo playing through it.

Hard to answer the QB questions when we really don't know what the injury was. Talkin' Cowboys speculates it was a knee to the kidney, which would explain the significance of the pain. But if that's the case, and it's not actually related to his spine, then it really is probably just a pain tolerance thing. In which case you give Weeden the reps, start Tony if can tolerate the discomfort and still do what he needs to do, and the go to Weeden if he can't. Either way, though, I'd think that-barring a rupture or something more significant that we haven't heard about--Tony should be a lot further along next week and pretty close to back to normal after the bye.

The Cards are an NFC opponent fighting for a potential first round bye in the playoffs and who beat the Eagles (which could have NFC East implications later on if the Cowboys win).

It would help if they won this game.

You people amaze me. The most difficult portion of the schedule comes after the bye. So making hay when the sun shines seems to be the task of the day.

Argue as you like. We can revisit this later in the season when the team has to face the highest level of competition for this season.

Every game is a must win. But with that I think Romo should sit and rest this week. I don't see the point in him playing at 85-90% and risking further trouble, and you know Horton will pressure him all day (happy feet)

The San Antonio Spurs say hi! I disagree...if Romo...can not perform any better than he did at the end of regulation or OT...then he needs to SIT! I guess you also believe that you run DeMarco Murray until his feet bleed...and if he runs out of gas in week 12....oh well...next man up! It would be one thing if Weeden had gone into the game...and wet the bed...but the offense functioned at a much higher rate with Weeden than Romo on Monday night. Does that mean Weeden is better for this team than Romo? Of course not! But Romo at 50% is not better than Weeden!

I personally think this game is huge. You cant drop two games straight at home. You can't surrender so much conference and divisional advantage the 6-1 start gave.

Exactly. Do we just want to go to the playoffs or do we want to win in the playoffs? If we want to win then this is a very important game.

If we want a bye or home field it's probably a must win.

The Arizona game is a lot more important than the WAS game, and infinitely more important than the Jax game.

I don't think it is a must-win game, but I like your plan. I would wait and see how the back heals.

Its not a must-win game. The Deadskins game was more important then this one because it was a NFC East rival. Its a game YOU want to win so you can stop a 2 game losing streak. But if you lose its not the end of the world. You're still in a good position at 6-3. Far better than ANYONE had predicted coming into this season.

But in regards t who should play.....I'm going to say the same thing I said when people were CRYING about "running Demarco to much". Why are people playing as if the playoffs are guaranteed? You want to sit Romo 3 games and limit Demarco's carries for a playoff push? We might not even get INTO the playoffs. Go with what's been working. If Romo isn't atleast 80% than he shouldn't play.
