Whatever decision is made, I want it to be made from a place of wisdom and not fear.

If the case is Romo is not well enough to play, I see a lot of value in trusting the team and asking them to step up in his absence & give them a chance to respond.

I don't believe any of us have insight to the truth of the situation to make an accurate assessment.

Depending on his actual condition, I can see the merit to the arguments made from all sides.

This game could certainly have wildcard implications at the end of the season with both the Cards and Cowboys in a battle within their division. The Cards are up by 2 games in the NFC West over SF and Seattle and at least one of those 3 teams is going to get a wildcard birth. The Cowboys have already lost to SF so if they end with the same record as SF the Niners will win the tie breaker.

The Cowboys and Philly are likely to duel it out all season for the division so these interconference games vs contenders are important because you could end up on the outside looking in with a 9-7 or 10-6 record come playoff time if you don't win your division and lose tie breakers.

True but should Cards take that division and Dallas take the East then it could be for a bye, it could be for as you said a wildcard birth. Thankfully we have the tie breaker over the Seahawks whom I think will not roll over and die I expect a strong push by them. Either way you look at it this is a big game. Must win? NO, but ramification at the end of the season this game could play a big part.

I would not play him at all. I would rest him up until the Giants, after the buy.

That actually might be the best thing for Romo. Weeden looked pretty good for what he did, and maybe he can steer the ship until after the bye. Losing one of the last two before the bye would not hurt that bad, but losing Romo prior to that would be a disaster. IMHO

Fully agree, I'm not looking to risk any player. They have done X-Ray and CAT Scan evidently there was nothing there that made Dallas feel that Romo was at risk. If he is lacking mobility and trouble throwing the ball then sit him but at least that is based on something real not irrational fears.

Whether it's rusty SF Romo, punctured lung Romo, or overtime Commanders Romo there is no version of Romo that is not infinitely better than Weeden. Romo is a10 year vet and arguably a top 5 QB so far this season, Weeden isn't even a top 50 QB and 10 games below .500 already in just 3 years. I would rather have a game plan based upon a Romo who could only throw screen passes and hand off then a fully healthy Weeden. The experience alone of a QB who has been in the league for 10 years and seen it all easily trumps whatever you want to call Weeden's indescribably bad two seasons in the NFL.

Like Garrett said, it's first up to the doctors, then the trainers, then the player on whether to play or not. Knowing Romo, he is going to lobby to play even if he has a deep bruise or whatever. Hopefully, they don't let Romo talk his way into the game just because HE says he is ready. But, that would be Romo. He is one tough SOB.

This is all true, but the Cowboys need to think long term. If that means Romo sits for the next few games for the best interest of the team, then sit him down.

You got that right thankfully we do have the tie breaker over Seattle would hate to have to go back there again come playoff time. I agree I don't expect the Seahawks to die they still have a very good team. There could be wildcard and seeding ramifications so Sundays game is important when looking at the big picture.

Exactly. To me this may not be must win but it is all hands on deck. I also think games like this shows these guys they do belong in the conversation just as the win in Seattle did. You win games like this it is a big boost to the confidence of any team.

I honestly don't know if facing Seattle at cowboys stadium helps. I am being serious.

Anytime a good team is upset by a struggling team it's important they're able to bounce back the following week or the tide could change. AZ showed last season they're an up and coming team. They beat Seattle in Seattle when the Seahawks had a great team. AZ won 10 games and missed the playoffs which is why every game is precious. The Cowboys have missed the playoffs by only one game the past 3 seasons and there's been games each of those seasons that have ended up coming back to haunt them.

What concerns me is the lack of success the Cowboys have had in the new stadium. Jerry claimed the stadium would give the Cowboys a big advantage but it clearly hasn't. Opposing teams come in and act like they own the place and that has to change if the Cowboys are going to be the team we want them to be.

The Cowboys have no advantage at home they're batting around 500 in the new stadium and both losses this season have come at home but I would still rather play the Seahawks at home come playoff time than in Seattle. I think we can all agree on that.

The Cards are an NFC opponent fighting for a potential first round bye in the playoffs and who beat the Eagles (which could have NFC East implications later on if the Cowboys win).

It would help if they won this game.

Right, it's a meaningful game points wise - in conference, common opponent, potential playoff opponent. It's also important from a momentum perspective, - we need to prove that the brain fart coaching job Monday was an aberration.

It's nuts.

It's like they get the entitlement bug from the snooty / exec fans lol

I would rather this team go the road warrior route to Super Bowl. I don't need it to happen in their stadium.

When you listen to opposing players they all seem to love playing at the new stadium. The stadium has a festive atmosphere that makes even opposing teams feel comfortable and look forward to playing there. The stadium doesn't have an intimidation factor to it maybe because of the carnival atmosphere and the fact it draws a lot of opposing fans. As for the road warrior route the Cowboys and Romo haven't faired well in that role.

Romo has had some poor performances on the road in elimination games with 11 of his 12 elimination game turnovers coming on the road. The difference this season is he has a great running game to lean on that should lesson the load on his shoulders which hopefully will eliminate some of the mistakes we've seen with him in make or break situations on the road.

The Cowboys fans sell their tickets...if they do sell, sell them to Cowboy fans. However, home team is starting to get into the Cowboys but that is because the Cowboys are winning. That's a start. lol

"Home crowd, please keep it down when the Cowboys are on offense!"

Let the defense do their thing. "Then root/scream/shout/ at the other team when they are on offense"!

Have fun in the Stadium...lol It seems that the home crowd is getting the hang of it.

The Cowboys have a long journey still to go.
