If Jason Garrett/Linehan had made that call what would you do?

gone insane....
and I still concern myself with those kinda of calls.
although its been somewhat successful... I still go nuts when I see an empty backfield on 3rd and short....

Yeah, I never understood why in a situation like that you go into an empty backfield. You lose all element of surprise.

The thought had crossed my mind and I couldn't help but think that it's exactly the kind of thing that would happen to us... But thank god it didn't...

I'm pretty sure the universe would have exploded...

I would probably be done watching football. I just couldn't imagine ever enjoying a game again or ever having any faith in my team again...EVER. The play call was that bad. I honestly would be throwing up for days if I was a Seahawk fan.

But since I am not a Seahawk fan...it was downright hilarious. I mean it was laugh out loud funny. I'm starting to laugh again at how funny it was.

Would have completed the pass to Dez or Witten for the TD anyway and in spite of bad call.

The only QB to not throw a pick this post season was Romo :)
I think Wilson had 5 and Brady had 4

Sounds like he should have threw a few if that meant a Super Bowl appearance

Imagine the Cowboys were in that exact same situation, and Jason Garrett/Linehan had called a pass that was picked off instead of running it three straight times, what would you have done? How would you have reacted. My 14 yr. old son speculated that he would have to call 911 to send me to the emergency room from having a heart attack. While I don't have heart problems, I think he was right. Given JG's penchant for calling passes in that situation and the Romo choke label, I think if that had happened to us, I would absolutely pass out right when it happened. It would have been the worst possible scenario for the Cowboys to lose a SB....I would much rather lose by 30.

How would you have reacted?
Just like in 2013's game against the Packers, I'd have hated it and said it was the wrong strategy.

What is funny is how little blame has been thrown at Wilson. Romo does that? Oh boy.

The guy read the route and knocked the receiver off of his route... there wasn't too many other places to put that ball.
that was clearly a coaching fault.

I would be replacing my brand new TV for another, newer TV. I would also probably stop watching the Cowboys for a very long time, maybe forever. When stupidity like that can tear your heart out and there isn't anything you can do about the stupidity then maybe it would be time to move on.

I feel bad about the Seahawks' fans. If it was the Patriots that happened to I would enjoy it.

I've seen JG throw from that situation dozens of times. Heck, for most of his coaching career his inclination on short and goal to go is to go empty backfield.....

It was a bad call, but at the end of the day, the Patriots were a better team.

This^^

That call had JG the play caller written all over it. Tried to get cute!

lol
yeah.
With our defense , that would certainly be in some alternate universe.
Don't want to imagine how bad we'd have been blown out with 4-5 ints.

Butler also admitted that Wilson telegraphed the throw as he looked right at him.

That narrative is turning a bit. Seems he's the only QB to throw an INT in that type of situation. Broaddus mentioned that it wasn't necessarily a bad call as it was execution. If you're gonna make that throw, you gotta put some heat on it.

I looked a the play again. It was awful all around, but Butler actually committed PI. He knocks the WR in the back off his route, which allows him to make a play on the ball that was put out a little to far either way.

Mike Carey tweeted it was PI as well.

Bad call, PI, bad throw, stupid play call... Emmitt called in the dumbest call in NFL history. Deion pretty much the same thing. I heard Michael Irvin said they ere just trying to give the glory to Wilson, instead of Lynch.

Additionally, you run on second and then try pass on third with 2 TOs. And the Pats defense couldn't stop the run anyways, so yeah, it was a bad call, irrespective of other people are successful at throwing it in specific contexts.

No justification for that play-call.
