That means we wasted the top draft pick from the last 3 drafts essentially, assuming we let Amari
Cooper walk (which is very likely now).

2017: Taco Charlton
2018: Leighton Vander-Esch
2019: Amari Cooper

Factor in who we drafted after the 1st round, and it’s starting to look like a crippling series of draft classes. Chidobe Awuzie, Conor Williams, Trysten Hill, etc.

Our drafting trajectory is headed towards early to mid-2000’s...not good.

Vander Esch isn't done.
Cooper isn't going anywhere.
Stay away from sharp objects for your own safety and maybe try a helmet.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, first and second round picks are highly overrated and overpriced. That's where ya swing for the fences and take your chances. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

And that's ok.

Because you can pick up some real value in the 4th round and below. Plus undrafted guys are good too. Mine that gold and you'll find some nuggets.

And don't forget about those comp picks. They add up................don't ya know. ;)

Yes..............we're on our way.

Nowhere.

But what is being widely reported is that he has spinal stenosis, is having surgery and another injury could end his career.

That should be troubling to most. But probably not if you are an obsessive compulsive diseased optimist like the ones who run this organization.

Keep this same energy when we get into the playoffs next week and make a deep run.

What’s funny is MOST of you were in TOTAL lust with LVE last year. The fact is Cowboys fans on here are in love with you until you show any decline whatsoever, then they’re finished with you. I don’t always agree with him but, It’s no
dont forget: Williams is a Cowboy because you didn’t want possible DRoY Juan Thornhill and you thought Connor was more valuable than Earl Thomas

The beauty about how Dallas does things is that it is all a "group effort".

So nobody is to blame.

Taco Charlton instead of Watt? Oh we all decided on that together. Trysten Hill instead of a variety of better players? Nope, we all talked about it and were aligned.

Everyone takes a bullet, nobody bleeds for it though.

Everyone wanted Juan Thornhill, it wasn’t even close. Nobody on earth expected Trysten Hill to be taken that high.

And if it's not and he returns to his previous pro bowl level and we resign Cooper?

This is silly

Stenosis isn’t something you overcome and continue to play any sport. It is a degenerative chronic disease and will continue to cause problems. It can be managed but playing football isn’t really an option. He may be able to squeeze another season or two in(depending on the severity of it now) but it will lead to an early retirement. It will also cause him to miss stretches of games as well along the way.

This is getting ridiculous. Where is it being reported that LVE's career is finished?

LVE is okay, for now. But I have read on sites that can't be linked here that his surgery is the "last buffer" between his career continuing or ending.

Basically, LVE is playing in 2020. But if he gets the same injury again, there's no guarantee his quality of life won't be severely hindered (or worse) by continuing to play. Spinal stenosis ended Michael Irvin's career.
