If McFadden drops to #22, Dallas should take Chris Johnson

I think that Chris Johnson would fit better than McFadden in Dallas. Marion Barber is a viciously tough runner, and Chris Johnson clearly is the change of pace back that would complement him. McFadden is a better pure running back than Chris Johnson, however, with the 4.24 forty time, Chris does a presnap shift to slot reciever, and suddenly, opposing defenses have to contend with a deion sanders speed at WR. I'll admit, Chris Johnson does not have any blocking capability to speak of, but with his versatility, has a slight edge over McFadden.

Besides, he's not dropping to #22 anyway, who are we kidding? Chris Johnson is a bargain at #22.

I think Chris Johnson falls to mid to late 2nd round.

I really like this kid, but taking him in the first would upset me here.

CB, WR, then RB. In that order.

Seriously, a Deion Sanders type wide reciever would garner enough attention by himself at #22. Chris Johnson is an unbelievable speed back and lightning fast WR. He is underrated.

I'm serious.

I'm an ECU alum and season ticket holder, so I'm pretty much betting I'm the biggest Chris Johnson homer on this board.

Even I think that is a bad idea.

Personally, I'd love it if CJ was a Cowboy and I honestly think he would be a great fit in this offense with Barber. He will be a DANGEROUS return man wherever he goes. However, I still have my doubts about him being a 1st round pick.

I think he is a solid 2nd round talent, but may get picked in the 1st due to someone falling in love with that speed.

Well, if he is underrated enough that Dallas could pick him in the 2nd, that would be great. But the fact that he fills two needs at RB and WR with just one pick would be great for this year. If a player can contribute that much to a team, he would be a legitmate 1st round pick.

Yeah, cause other than Barber, we had a great second half. Brilliant.

I think you were probably a little rough on him. Besides, I don't think its as dumb as your sig.

Go rewatch the 2nd half of that giants game and tell me where Emmitt Smith would have ran.

It would be a moot point if we had Michael Irvin.
How many of those dropped passes, in either half, do you reckin' he would have made?

Not trying to be argumentative, but CJ has never played WR. Have you read that he is projecting to WR in the pros or are you just saying he is a receiving threat out of the backfield. I think it would be a big transition to expect him to come in and line up in the slot or opposite TO right off the bat.

Look, I would not be upset if Dallas picked him with either of their 1st round picks. Is he a good value at either of those picks? I'm not a pro-scout, so I don't know ALL of the criteria they use to judge the value of a pick. I think he will be a very productive return man in the NFL and will be a good 3rd down back. He has the potential to be much more than that in the right system.

I think the comparisons to Dave Meggett and Brian Westbrook are valid comparisons. Will he turn out to be as good as those two? We will have to wait and see.

Some people say never say never. Im going on the lem to say Darren McFadden is NEVER going to end up at the 22nd pick. The will NEVER happen. DMac is NEVER GOING to end up at the 22nd pick.

It's NEVER going to happen...

1. If we drafted Chris Johnson in the first round I'd hurt many people.

2. If DMAC were available and we drafted Chris Johnson, I promise you this, I'd kidnap Jerry Jones and torture him for weeks.

1.) I don't know if I'd hurt people, but I'd have to buy alot of things to replace in my living room.

2.) We need a blueprint of how we all can do this if Jerry were stupid enough to let this happen.

We already let one probowl quality RB go so we can take a mediocre RB and an average DE. If we let a POSSIBLE hall of fame type talent go and instead draft a track star (Alexander Wright anyone?), Jerry Jones will get tortured. I guarantee it.

there's a big difference between pro bowl and all-pro. I would take Dmac over CJ in a heartbeat though

Ok. I get it. You like Chris Johnson. That's great but this is taking it a little too far. If McFadden falls to 22 and we don't draft him, :bang2: . Seriously just give up. That would really mean Jerry has no clue what so ever. :banghead: This is not a knock on Johnson either, but let's be a bit more realistic. I was pissed enough when we passed on Stephen Jackson. This would be 10 times worse.
