If McFadden drops to #22, Dallas should take Chris Johnson

If we could pull it off without giving up both 1sts and our 2nd round pick, I'd consider it. Even if that meant our 1st next year. I just don't believe that price is anything but a faery tale.

I think if he gets out of the top 5 Jerry starts making calls, if he makes it out of the top 7, Jerry will almost certainly put something together. If he makes it out of the top 10, Jerry will go and handcuff himself to McFadden and threaten anyone that gets close with a sharp object.

You might be able to get Johnson with the 28th pick, or even a 2nd rounder, although Oregon', Stewart will be out(turftoe) for 4 to 6 moothns. Stewart was rated above Johnson, so I think that will move Johnson up in the draft. I do like the idea of getting Johnson.

Well, At least I now know I am not the only one that doesn't think wagering the whole house on McFuture is such a good idea. I'm not crazy! WHEW. :)

Get me a CB at 22, a WR at 28, and a move up to get Chris Johnson early in the 2nd.

Well if you go by the trade value chart (which teams probably dont totally abide by much longer because of other considerations) then you see this:

4th pick (Raiders)- 1800
5th pick (Chiefs)- 1700
6th pick (Jets)- 1600
7th pick (Pats)- 1500
8th pick (Ravens)- 1400
9th pick (Bengals)- 1350
10th pick (Saints)- 1300

Our picks

22nd: 780, 28th: 660, 61st: 292 92nd: 132
4th rd pick: 48 5th rd pick: 29 6th rd pick: 27 7th rd pick 4pts

(I had to estimate the 4th-7th rd picks since the exact number isnt known)

Our two 1sts and 3rd get us to 1572, which is right between the 6th and 7th picks. Our two 1sts alone is 1440 which would be a straight up deal with Baltimore with them having to throw in a late pick to equal it for us. The Oakland and KC picks probably arnt doable...I could see the Jets perhaps doing the deal for our two 1sts, maybe the 4th a player like Ayodele, or two 1sts and a 3rd.

Honestly I think Oakland or the Jets grab him w/o thinking twice about it, but we'll see. If he got past Oakland it might get interesting.

Both our 1sts is more than I am willing to pay. 22 and our 1st next year, I'd consider.

Just pick up Michael Bennett when he's released in a few weeks. He supposedly ran a 4.19 .. he must be teh awesomes !!!

The only way I'm for drafting DMac is if he did slide to #22 but it won't happen.

If we could get him and still get one of the top cb's I :mchammer:

edit: And not give up MBIII

If he fell to around 10 I could see us moving up. I just think his name is a pipe dream we need to give up.

I even had someone request that I filter his last name just to see how people would react.

:laugh2:

I considered it.

Opps. So much for faux outrage. ;)

On another note, I heard Frank Wychek (former Titans TE and current Titans analyst) say that the Titans could be targeting Chris Johnson in the first round. He has the speed the team craves and gives Tennessee options on special teams and in their offense.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Chris Johnson taken in the first because I suspect a few teams covet his speed.

You might become responsible for giving some on here a coronary & I know you don't want that burden on your broad shoulders. :)
