Chris Peterson as a HC maybe, but there is no way you’re getting him as an OC
Probably. They were just names off the top of my head. Rhere are guys out there outside of the little boys club candidates

If I was Garrett I would double down on myself; hire a true, experienced QB coach and make himself the OC. Let KR/RM handle the D. These next few yrs (assuming his extension is coming) will most likely be his last hurrah unless he brings in #6...

Okay, I think the one thing this forum agrees on is Linehan’s time here as OC has run its course.

Presuming he gets the boot, who takes his place?

Lincoln Riley is a name a lot of folks mentioned but he signed an extension with OU.

Many of the potential names have already signed with other teams.

Who is out there that would be a viable replacement that would move this offense forward?

Anyone NOT named Scott Linehan with ties to DET, CIN or CLE

Norv and Scott Turner. Let Norv be the OC and Scott be the OC in waiting. (like Scott Turner better)

Jerry Schlupinski maybe. Assistant QB coach for NE, we may be able to lure him away as an O Coordinator

Maybe a few others
Mike Kafka - Kansas City QB coach
Sean Ryan - Houston Texans QB coach
Press Taylor - Philadelphia Eagles QB coach
Shane Waldron - Los Angeles Rams Passing game coordinator

What would any of these coaches have in common with Garrett?

You do know how coaching hires work, right?

Yes, I do realize coaches typically go with people they are familiar with.

But what do Dan Quinn and Kirk Koetter have in common? When you are looking for a new coach you may have to go outside your comfort zo

I don’t know if this has been said but what about the OC from the Bucs. Didn’t they have one of the top offenses this year? Or their HC. I believe he was OC before.
Dirk Koetter is going back to Atlanta to again be their OC.
