I’m more concerned with his mental game rather than physical. Old gimps like Manning and Brady did just fine….:muttley:
Oh I agree. It's the fear that got him last time, and fear will probably get him this time.

Regression is regression.

Imagine if Dallas let Dak play out this season before discussing his contract....

We're 3-5, looking really hard at a 5-6 win season at most. Dak is hurt for several weeks and is playing like junk.

What would his market be in 3 months?

Instead, he has a $240 million deal at $60 per year that doesn't begin until the 2025 season.

With this level of negotiation skills, how did Jerry ever get wealthy? I know, I know, one day he was out shooting food, and up from the ground came a bubblin' crude.
Spot on

Fans and our owners initial priorities and agendas aren’t necessarily aligned.

Don't you think the Jones' waiting to long is what got us into a lot of this mess to begin with???

But you've seen the product that is now Dak.

Can't run, weak arm, lost the team, and wide-eyed stares at the end of games on the bench.

That's who he is now, and it will only decline sharply downward from here.

And he's owed a king's ransom.

This team won't get straightened out until the 2030s.

If then.
It's in his head...ala Romo after the fumbled snap in Seattle.

If Dallas would have let it play out, then this franchise would be in so much better shape, in terms of hope and optimism. Now all the Dak Cult leaders and supporters have drifted away and this team is screwed for 4 years. Jerry listened to the cult and not football people. Hopefully Jerry starts to see empty seats and takes the blame for keeping this bum.
jerry didnt listen to any fans lol.
He did what he wanted to when he wanted to.

I question why even play dak this season, or have him start running more lol.
I say this because If I just paid a QB 60 mil a year, and there is a no trade clause, I dont want him getting hurt in a lost cause like this year,
where jerry set them up to fail, I assumed he was tanking, so why have dak out there, go with lance, take a good look at him and tank.

No matter what any of us feel about Dak. The guy was the NFL MVP runner up and an All Pro....at the most critical position in the NFL. I fail to understand the logic of some fans.
fans want change , Dak has always failed in playoffs, and now with this hamstring issue he wont be mobile at all.

So was Wentz in 2017. By this time in 2018 it was clear to most he didn’t have what it takes. Had JJ not panicked and extended Dak, we would probably be seeing MM fired and Lance installed as the starter so that we could tank for someone like Milroe (JJ loves the SEC). Then you could play hardball with Dak and get him at a discount as a 2 year bridge (I don’t think anyone would be giving Dak a huge contract after the tape he’s put out this year. Not even LV).

Some of us were absolutely floored at the signing.
Todd France has to have something very damaging on Jerry.
No other way to explain how the whole thing went down.
Oh well, Jerry has managed the impossible to make a portion of his fan base from Cowboy Lovers to Cowboy Haters.
Good work Jerry............and the Bags coming out is only a matter of time.

Seems Jerry's goal before kicking his boots up is to destroy and downgrade as much as he can America's Team.
He's headed in the right direction.....

That has nothing to do with market value. You can say you did not want DALLAS to pay him his market value, but that's a different conversation. But the reality is, Dallas does not want to pay ANYBODY their market value. This is the same organization that said they could not afford Derrick Henry and signed Ezekiel Elliot instead. The casual fan believes them. But I look at what Zeke is being paid and what Trey Lance is being paid and deduce that Dallas CHOSE not to afford Derrick Henry. He was worth what he asked for AND then some.

So just because Dallas does not want to pay it does not mean they are overpaid. The salary cap is the same for all 32 teams. Players market value is what it is for all 32 teams. Dak would have gotten his number from somebody else if Dallas chose not to pay it. Again, wanting Dallas to decline extending Dak is different than fans suggesting Dallas overpaid.
