So was Wentz in 2017. By this time in 2018 it was clear to most he didn’t have what it takes. Had JJ not panicked and extended Dak, we would probably be seeing MM fired and Lance installed as the starter so that we could tank for someone like Milroe (JJ loves the SEC). Then you could play hardball with Dak and get him at a discount as a 2 year bridge (I don’t think anyone would be giving Dak a huge contract after the tape he’s put out this year. Not even LV).
Hey, that is the business of the NFL. And I for one am not crying for ANY (owners/players) of them. Do the fans that signed up for seasons tickets get a do over? I bought tickets to travel to Atlanta to see them play last weekend. My daughter goes to college in Atlanta. I had a hunch that the way the offseason unfolded this team was not going to be any good. But my daughter wanted to see them play, so I laid out the money for tickets, parking, lodging, food, travel etc....no one feels sorry for me and the owners are not giving me my money back. Are you suggesting that if the owners were able to get their money back when a player does not pan out.....are you suggesting they would return money to the fans?

Don't you think the Jones' waiting to long is what got us into a lot of this mess to begin with???
I didnt hear Dak/France screaming out for an earlier extension. The 'fault' lies between the two of them.....Dak insisting on 4 years and Jerry unable to persuade him to sign to a career ending contract and giving him what he wanted.

It's not Jones or Dak......it's BOTH.

Why would Dak have to scream, when once again, he had 100% of the leverage???

They new the longer they waited only meant more money.

So if Dak had '100% of the leverage' how could Jerry have aleviated the 'mess'?

When was Dak open to signing a lesser AAV contract?

Smart GM's attempt to sign an extension early and at least have a contingency plan. Not GM Jethro.

You don't think Micah would have signed a contract this year if Jerry had made a legit offer?

What was our options last year when Martin decided to basically black mail us and hold out?

What was our options at WR if we did not extend CD after the draft? The only leverage we had was a deep WR draft, so why not start negotiations before the draft???

Jerry is constantly in the same situation over and over at multiple positions.
