Maybe you should explain it to them. Teach them.fans who don't understand the slices of the pie are funny. wow just wow.
My concern, is that if they keep playing him as a DE, he will be breaking down prematurely.if he is not trend ing down at the time then yes he is the exact type of player u break the bank for and give a market setting contract not a running back or avg qb
YesWould you resign him for that amount? I have a feeling thats what he is going to be asking for. Lets also assume he continue to play like he has played up until now.
Thats a great idea if you want to pay significantly more than if you just sign him to an extension5 years then franchise twice ...... so in 5 years from now if he is still playing at same level give him what he wants.
No way I pay Parson’s 30 million per year. That’s why you start negotiations early; if that’s his line, you trade him for a first rounder, plus. But that can’t happen. Parsons hasn’t been defensive player of the year or broken records for sacks yet. I’m not paying him more than Watt. Franchise tag him.Two years ago T.J. Watt signed a 4 year, $112,011,000 contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, including a $35,593,470 signing bonus, $80,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $28,002,750 per year.
I don't know if you sign Parsons to $30M per year or not, but the starting price is going to be north of what TJ got.
Hey if he will take a Tyrone Smith like team friendly 10 year deal, then go ahead ....... but I don't see the lifelong philly fan giving us that type of loyalty.Thats a great idea if you want to pay significantly more than if you just sign him to an extension
But your proposal of tagging him twice and then signing him would have is paying him a significant amount more than if we just extended him next year. It makes no senseHey if he will take a Tyrone Smith like team friendly 10 year deal, then go ahead ....... but I don't see the lifelong philly fan giving us that type of loyalty.
There’s a salary cap thing…Fans not wanting to pay top players what they're worth is funny.
I would want to know what he would fetch in a trade before making that decision.Would you resign him for that amount? I have a feeling thats what he is going to be asking for. Lets also assume he continue to play like he has played up until now.
Two first round picks +. That's close to what we'd get.I would want to know what he would fetch in a trade before making that decision.
At some price level, even the greatest of players becomes too expensive. $30M buys FOUR $7.5M free agents.
Don't get me wrong- Parsons is an absolute game changer!
I would also be concerned about his longevity given the way he is being used. A power player that loses half a step is still a powerful force. A speed player that loses half a step is dead money.
Cowboys aren't the only team with a salary cap. There’s a salary cap thing…
That’s quite an exaggeration. Parsons is a great player with a very good motor, but which games would we have lost with someone else rushing the QB more often? He doesn’t make the Dallas Cowboys relevant…that’s a given.Yes, Parsons is the only reason Dallas was relevant last year, and the only reason they will be relevant next year. This team is to poorly run to build a deep roster the correct way, need to just hope our superstars carry us.
This is absolutely the proper response to that idiotic postSo you'd just let him walk in free agency and be fine with a 3rd round comp pick for him?
Get out of here and never post on this site again.
You don’t technically have to pay Micah for another 5 seasons. This depends on how he does this season
If he .ames All-Pro again or if he was a significant contributing factor to the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl then I would do it but with an "out" after the 3rd or 4th season
