If rumors are true...

OK.

But Like I said, there is no reason for TO to be cut. None. No one in this thread or any of the other 10 million threads have proved that.
how about every time he has a problem he runs to a microphone.

This is awful news. Just awful. We'll never be rid of Garrett. I don't even think I want to watch any football at all next year :(

Please hurry baseball season

He was interviewed twice about this. Once when Dieon Sanders did a feature story and he was ASKED about it.

Then in a post game interview with Romo and Witten standing there.

Other than that, nothing. No complaining, nothing.

Disagreement = ripping your coach a new one in the national media?

If Garrett is truly the HC in waiting, then there is a shot it happens. I wouldn't keep a guy on my team who complained about me publicly every time we had a "disagreement". And in all probability complaining about me to anyone and everyone in the locker room too.

We'll see.

How is saying "I don't think I am being moved around in the offense enough" Ripping your coach a new one?
Can you say Hyperbole?

Again, hyperbole.

But he wasn't complaining and making it sound like you are trying to make it out to be.

he ripped his coaches for not getting him the ball more even when he gets it more than any other wr in the game.

he ripped his qbs with his "Ican't throw it and catch it myself" comment

whether he started it or not because he's here he was the reason that whole Romo/Cancer/Witten DISTRACTION happened.

According to this article, he said:

Reporters Friday noted that the Cowboys' offense is the same in both seasons, but Owens says coordinator Jason Garrett's plan is not flexible, and defenses have caught on to his schemes and how to stop Owens.

Or in other words, Garrett has been figured out and he can't make adjustments. I can't imagine exactly what worse you can say about your coach.

Granted, he's right, and what he said is true, but you just don't and say that in front of the media and expect to have a working relationship with that coach going forward.

Of course it can't be proven if you disregard every item presented and say its not true or since they didnt kill each other there is no real problem.

Your argument is based on his stats, and I don't think anyone says he's not productive. It's the team issues, it's TO's interview with Deion after, to that point, the biggest win in the season where he throws the OC under the bus, and all the soundbites blaming everyone else. Yet you say none of that matters or is a factor in what is clearly a fractured team.

Other than the salary cap hit, why would cutting him be a bad thing?

Well lets see because he was the teams leading receiver, he demands attention and can score at will... are we really that ignorant?

I could not have said it better!!

will this force Jerry's hand regarding the TO/Garrett relationship discussion? There have been some who said TO would be gone regardless of the Garrett situation. Does Garrett coming back as OC assure TO is gone?

Discussion please?

It should say more about a pansy coach that doesn't know how to leave the personal business outside of VR than it does about anything else. If Garrett truly did give a "him or me" ultimatum and then proceed to run run run there is no way he becomes what some on here thinks he can still become. A player will respect a coach that truly coaches and isn't into making petty ultimatums like he's just another one of the players arguing about playing time.

What about a loud mouth player that takes everything on his mind to the media and anyone else that will listen to him?

One is the employer, one is the employee. Who should respect who?

You want Garrett to respect T.O., when T.O. only respects himself?

:laugh2: Got it?

He goes to the OC and says, "Hey, they are doubling me. We aren't moving the ball. Move me around."

He lets the OC know what is happening on the field. That helps the OC.

And yes, I want my WRs to want the ball. The great ones do.

Garrett: Move you around? That is not in my playbook. I think we need to run more go routes and let Romo chuck it downfield. If it is picked, it will be just like a punt.

TO: What the hell???

Don't start making up little stories to help your cause! :laugh2:

If my boss tells me to do something, I do it whether I like it or not...he pays me.

This not the T.O. Cowboys.

Nice job, Rampage. I didn't remember that one. What a team player. Jerry Rice would be proud.

Doesn't make sense though. No proof that Garrett and TO are at odds.

With that said, from a personnel perspective if you remember last year at this time we were screaming that one of our top needs was WR to take the pressure off TO. When we didn't get one in FA or the draft we were upset knowing that Glenn would be gone. Then we got Roy after four games and then four games after that we got our QB back. When they started to take the DT away from TO he flourished.

Now, we want to go back to the same situation with Roy by cutting TO?

That just makes no football sense at all.

Some people will not go with the smoke when it is white hot in regards to Owens. I believe it. I look at it, analyze it, and make a choice. I straight up think he's gone.

Roy Williams got # 1 money. Jason Garrett says he wants to make Miles Austin the next Alvin Harper. I think he's about to get his opportunity to do it.

Felx Jones is the wild card. You could build the entire offense around him if you chose to do so.

The team is 9-7, so ditching Owens' 65.8 YPG isn't a problem, especially when you consider his "other concerns".

Felix Jones and Miles Austin can take up the slack. Felix Jones can score
10 TDs by himself.
