Do we keep the hot hand, or do we here the normal from Jerry "Dak is our guy, I want to make that clear!" One of the reasons I feel why we've never had a DECENT backup is because Jerry wanted to rid any QB controversy taking place!

I don't care how well Rush is doing... The only way he is staying in is if he has some kind of crazy merchandise sales lol.
We know Jerry is about the franchise value.

Rush is going to screw up a lot... how could he not?
I can't see him taking many physical chances either...

The one thing I do like about Rush, even though it will cost them is, he sees it he throws it.
If it is a timed play... he throws it...
He doesn't seem to second guess himself like Dak.

He may be of the mentality... screw it... what do I have to lose? My $57k?

Do you mean like when Tony got hurt and missed the first half of 2016. And even though the team was having a great year, Daks play had started to drop off mid to late season, and instead of going with the percentages, JJ STUCK WITH DAK. WHYYYYYY.

They kept the hot hand in 2016 and it ended someone's career. It would be funny to see this repeated.

I will admit I was fine with Dak remaining in the starting role back in 2016 - the team and Dak were playing excellent without Romo. But you are right, the last quarter of the season he had dropped off significantly. Letting Romo return probably would have yielded far better results.

I bet Dak has some trade value. The Cowboys are not built to successfully support Dak. There could be a team out there willing to take the plunge.

Jerry saw $$$$ savings and JG didn’t like TR, JJ could also honestly say he picked that QB. Don’t know who whisper in JJ ear but JJ though he had a A Rodgers. It is a shame 2016 was his best shot and in typical Jerry fashion he blew it.

I like the about him too there's a small difference in what they do at times I like it
