Then why are there so many comments in the press about the Jones boys looking to trade? And why are there so many threads about this issue?

If this RBBC is the answer, then why has the organization stated they are looking?

Why has this site blown up with RB threads and speculation?

I guess it could be the never ending quest to improve.

Or...

It could be the team made a mistake and misjudged their options.

Bro, both Stephen and Jerry have said so. Jerry went as far as to say that he would be interested in trading a first round pick next year. That is from Jerry Jones himself pal.

All would be mute, if Joseph Randle had been taken this year in the 3rd round--vrs 2 yrs ago. Everyone would be thinking all is good, except we'd have to wait for the 2nd year to see the jump in improvement he showed on the field...........

Yea, and Jerry also stated point blank that they feel the running game as a whole is better right now than it was last year.

This idea that the Cowboys are in a panic mode scramble to find a vet RB is media driven.

Media driven narrative compounded by panicked fans that only believe what they want to believe. And who can blame either one? It's a great conversation piece with a number of opinions. But it isn't reality at this point.

Hardly,,, Jones was asked if, given the surplus of first-round talent they landed this year, he'd consider trading away his 2016 first-rounder to acquire even more talent -- perhaps for a running back, or maybe further help on defense.

The move wouldn't bother me, but I really don't see a first round value out there that's being shopped and doesn't cost a ship-load of money.

Jerry Jones said last week he'd consider trading a first round pick in 2016 for the right player.

"I'd be reluctant to, but certainly if the right situation came along that could improve us now, with where we are with Romo, his career and where we are with what we've put together, it's a good time to go for it," Jones said.

Please supply link from a quote from Stephen or Jerry saying exactly this.

If you are referring to Jerry's statement last week, well I didn't hear him specifically say anything about trading for a running back.
People take his statement and assume, speculate, hypothesize, theorize and use conjecture.

Seriously. I think some folks would have been happy if the 'Boys drafted a RB somewhere in the 1st 3 rounds just out of principle. But they didn't...so now it's a juicy off-season story line.

Unless they were getting one of the top 2-3 RB's in the draft, they weren't going to have a significant impact this year anyway.

How could there be a problem if real practices haven't even started?
