If they can keep only 1, who do you choose - Irving or DLaw?

Sign both, and the top defensive end free agent, then draft a defensive end and tackle.

Before you accuse me of not following the rules, may I interject this.

I would rather spend 17m and a 3rd round comp pick on several players to help the D over paying 17m to just DLawrence

Neither, take that money and sign 5 or 6 above average players in FA, preferably a LB or two, WR, Safety and a Tackle :flagwave:

Draft one of their replacements early.

We just had this thread like a month ago. It was Irving then and its Irving now. Pressure up the middle trumps pressure from the edge and knowing our luck, Tanks back would go as he removed pen from paper on the contract.

Ah, forgot about that.

David Irving. As he has been trending up the past few years.

Sheldon hasn't come close to his 14/15 numbers and IIRC is a headcase. 23 games has has 1.5 sacks.

I do see the point about the first round pick, as they are worth a lot.

OK, swap Richardson for Star Lotulelei. He is a legit 1-tech but with 3-tech quickness.

Actually, I would like to add Lotulelei and keep Irving. Play Irving at RDE in base and rotate him in at DT on passing downs. That would keep Collins from having to play 1-tech without reducing the snaps for either Collins or Irving. Unfortunately the Cowboys won't spend big on a 1-tech. I'll settle for Dontari Poe...

Just franchise DLaw give Irving the 1st round tender.

This is how Jacksonville aligns their 4-3.......a big, 5T size RDE in Campbell with an undersized LDE combo in Ngakoue and Fowler (both under 260).
