It’s not happening because Earl Thomas isn’t going to sign a 2 year deal.

That is not what is being reported...……..he wants 2 yrs, $30 million with 100% guaranteed.

Looks like Houston is now in the drivers seat since they lost the honey badger.

I hate to tell you this but 90% of all FA deals are no more than 2 year deals...they are just wrapped into 4-5 year deals to look nice.

And it's the teams that benefit from those longer deals. It allows them to prorate out the signing bonus and keep the rights of the player if he continues to play up to the contract.

Then shouldn't we be seeing many, many bones broken every week, during the season?
Given all the players of all the teams playing and violently colliding. Right?
We see quite a few. Broken forearms, clavicles (romo and rogers). Fibula (kellen moore, allen hurns), broken fingers and bones in the feet (lis franc) the back (romo and wentz) and the list goes on. You can play with the small breaks, but not legs.

Not if they suck....your IF is a big one...
You don't understand how contracts work then. It's the guaranteed money that hurts. Guaranteed money favors the player, the longer deal is the counter balance to favor the team.
