So what was I wrong about? Linehan is doing a much better job of calling plays than Garrett?

again not being able to give him credit for how he has his team playing this season. But again you don't get it so call grand ma I'm tired of wasting time on you. Man can't give credit can own up to mistakes is not worth dirt

So Rob Ryan was part of the process and it was Garrett's idea to go 4-3?
And was rifting with Callahan last year and Callahan was about to walk...

I'm sorry you hate the HC who just beat the defending champs and won't back down from your stance. I guess you would've preferred he lost, so you could prove us all wrong.

Feel free to continue your *****ing.

I said at the beginning of the year they'd make the play-offs, even with Garrett as HC. So what was I wrong about?

Not yet its not. You Garrett kool aid drunks are happy right now I know, but the comparisons are premature. Ohdumbo was compared to Lincoln and was given a Noble prize - but it was all premature optimism from kool aid drinkers. Comparisons are only legit when accurate and based in reality rather than blind optimism. Predicting comparisons is nothing more than blind homerism at this point.

I've never wavered from my support of Red. He's a first class act and all anyone had to do is take off their shades
to see he was/is building a solid foundation. You know what, it is a process. If you think it's blind optimism then you haven't been
understanding the the process. The gold is right under your feet and you can't see it. Say what you want but this train is already left the station
to the play offs.

Lol... So I'm moaning now... I didn't say we need to get rid of him. I even said last week there is no way you fire him if he makes the playoffs and wins a game. I'm just saying that if we keep Garrett and lose guys like Callahan and Linehan, we back to typical Garrett garbage. As long as Garrett is clapping and throwing up one point conversion signs, I'm cool with it.

Lmao at the process... The same guy fighting with Callahan last year, the man who Jerry refused to let walk... The man whom it was reported was becoming more influential In the organization... The man who has essentially built this OL into the machine it is... That same OL that whooped up on the Seattle DL...

I would never claim to know the inner workings of the Cowboys but I feel confident that Garrett wanted Callahan here as an OL coach and nothing more. I would say that the way things have turned out, Garrett was absolutely right. Callahan sucked at play calling and at being the offensive coordinator. Garrett wanted Linehan, got him and from my perspective, all that has transpired since, is arguably complete vindication for Garrett and his process. And in case you forgot, Garrett blew up the OL long before Callahan ever got here. Status quo in regards to the OL when Garrett took over was not acceptable to him. and I believe the players on the OL at the time didn't buy in and that's why they were let go. That's a big reason I bought into Garrett's "process". Seems to me like it's working.

You seriously giving Callahan all of the credit for the OL? Come on man!?

But Garrett brought in Houck and they were running a power-coming scheme... That means drafting accordingly... It's totally zone now.. Callahan also has revamped the running game... You wonder why we don't run the delay draw as our staple any more?

And Garrett wanted control completely of play-calling and Jerry said he kept interfering. I'm sure Garrett was opposing it because Callahan probably would have continued to push more of a West Coast. Jerry simply said Jason can't play-call anymore, that's why Garrett have it up.

that you couldn't see Red building a winner isn't Red's fault

I don't think anyone did thus Jerry's quote at the end of last year...and thus the blown games and mismanaged games. It isn't a story of "told you so" because he showed us nothing. It's a case of him growing into role so far and letting each person do what they do best. I lived in Houston for 18 years and saw Gary Kubiak for years. Never thought anything about the guy. He was a JG guy with more offensive play calling skills. They finally found a grove with a D coordinator..Wade..and Kubes on O. Then the old guy came back and he's a coordinator again. I hope that doesn't happen here because I want a long term guy. But the divisions of fans should not be because of a coach. There is a lot of season left and I want to enjoy it so far. That's what being a fan is about/

Yep and it was Garrett who talked to Saban about his thoughts on McClain before we brought him in.

But Garrett brought in Houck and they were running a power-coming scheme the first three years..

and Jimmy brought in Dave Shula and that did not work either. He made a change and Garrett made a change.

Houck was at one time a great OL coach and during the time he was here, the cupboard was bare. Houck may or may not have been the coach he was in the nineties but the group he had to work with during his last stint here was not very good and you know it.

At this rate Garrett is likely to get an extension.

Possibly a statue. ;)

Jimmy was never calling plays..

No he didn't but made changes when it was not working. HC is responsible in the end for his staff and his players performances or lack of falls on the shoulder of the HC be it Dallas or any other team in the NFL.

I am glad that JG has sucked so bad, forcing Jerry to surround him with experienced coaches and pulling the play-calling from him.

But Garrett never wanted to give up play-calling. Even Jerry said it.

And remember, Jerry himself wanted his coaches to coach. He made Wade coach defense and kept Garrett as play caller. He had to revoke his duties.

So what was I wrong about?
