If we win this game Jason Garrett is safe

Garrett sucked and we'd be in the same hole if he was calling plays.

I wouldn't waste my time arguing something that is clear as day with these guys.

Maybe so, Jimmy said from the get go Garrett needed to focus his time and effort as the HC not a coordinator just as Jimmy focused on the role as HC not coordinator. Wearing more than one hat was more than Garrett could do. He has a coach in Linehan who he has worked with in the past and someone he trust. Coming in many of you claimed Linehan would not run it either since his title was passing coordinator along with play calling.

What was I wrong about? That's what I'm asking. Of you say the team was ready, than this would imply they aren't ready in years past.

"at times no they were not" Too many times guys seemed confused and making mistakes. Some of those guys are not here any longer.

I feel bad for you that it's not working out for your agenda.

Khailadi I respect you but today its a hard time to be a Jason hater

Whose being a hater? As long as he continues to stay on the sidelines and doesn't interfere, which is essentially what Jerry said he was doing per his own words last year, I'm fine with it. I said at the beginning of the year I envision them making the playoffs with Linehan as OC.

But I also remember Garrett rifting with Callahan last year. And Callahan's contract comes to an end this year. And this is a thread about extending contracts.

So of rather let Garrett walk than Callahan..,

I hate when threads turn into stuff line this. The reality is that up until this year JG showed nothing that said "good coach." Blew games, couldn't manage clock, and refused to run the ball. This year they have clicked and he and the team seemed to find their grove. I've never been a JG fan but I'm a Boys fan and if he proves himself then it's good for everyone. Right now he is doing that. You just keep playing the games and see what happens and hope it keeps up. I'll be happy to be wrong.

that you couldn't see Red building a winner isn't Red's fault

What was I wrong about?

In not giving Garrett credit, again it is not playing calling that makes you a HC it is getting your team ready and focused a job that takes place through out the week. But you don't get it ask your grand ma she seems to know more about the game than you do.

Why can't anyone understand that it's taken a while to get HIS players and HIS coaches?

You think Linehan was the GM's idea? No, CALLAHAN (as OC) was the GM's idea, so when the HC got his guy in here (and another OLman), things started to break.

It's not rocket science.

Remember when Garrett threw Romo under the bus for audibling out of the run against Green Bay last year and all these homers started threads about Romo ruining Garrett, because he always audibles out of the run when Garrett wanted to run. Then Orton chucked the ball like 40 plus times and they were telling us that Orton runs Garrett's offense better...

Can you explain why Jason Garrett's brother became passing game coordinator under Jason? His brother wasn't his guy?

Whether you accept it or not, I'm saying his "process" has taken a while and is now coming to fruition.

Many of you? So your saying that I didn't think Linehan could call plays better than Garrett?

sorry but that's a very fair comparision in regards to the post I responded to

Not yet its not. You Garrett kool aid drunks are happy right now I know, but the comparisons are premature. Ohdumbo was compared to Lincoln and was given a Noble prize - but it was all premature optimism from kool aid drinkers. Comparisons are only legit when accurate and based in reality rather than blind optimism. Predicting comparisons is nothing more than blind homerism at this point.

That process had John being promoted from TE coach to Passing game coordinator as well... Those were the days we kept trying to force Kevin Ogletree, John's pet project... And this was when Garrett was calling plays...

Linehan has done very good, he is not the HC. Was Norv the HC in the 90's? I don't think so. Evidently Grand ma can't be reached right now maybe she can explain it better.

Not everything was going to be perfect, and it appears that he learned from his mistakes.

Why be so pissy about that?

So what was I wrong about? Linehan is doing a much better job of calling plays than Garrett?

So Rob Ryan was part of the process and it was Garrett's idea to go 4-3? And Garrett was rifting with Callahan last year and Callahan was about to walk... Was that part of his process?
