If you could only pay one Who would you pay Collins or Leary

I'd keep them both, move Collins to RT and see what he can do over there. Pass protection as a guard isn't always easy for some players. Collins can really dominate in the run game as well. It's often very impressive to watch him out there. Forget the 'highlight' blocks, some of his ordinary blocks that go unnoticed are very impressive.

We can't pay everyone. I think Leary will be cheaper. but I'm not sure so who would you pay?

If we got rid of Tony's contract, and maybe Free's contract as well, could we afford both? Just asking (I am one for keeping Tony). Plus Ro Mac money is free now. Carr's status?

Sign Leary.

Dallas' time is now. The window has arrived.

Cutting Free saves the team 5m but Collins isn't the answer.....CGreen is the RT of the future

Leary is a luxury we can't afford with TSmith, TFred and ZMartin

Collins is a better run blocker and Leary the better pass protector but Collins can get better and doesn't have explosive knees

Yeah, with the cap, it's a tricky situation. Just ready for Green to come alive. Hear good things and he played well for Tyron, but just have to see him in a starting position.

If the price is about the same and I felt decent about health during the contract's life, I'd do Leary.

Moot point. Collins is under price control for 2 more years. Leary is not.

Successful cap/roster management is a lot like running a successful offense,,, it's best to stay ahead of the sticks <insert Patriots reference here>

Having said that, successful roster management means having viable depth too,,, I wonder what the Cowboys plans are for replenishing the OL depth while also trying to rebuild the defense.

Here's what I'm sure will be an unpopular opinion: How about neither?

Let Leary walk now, keep Collins on the cheap for the next two years, then draft his replacement in 2019. That's how building through the draft works. You can't have all five OL on expensive contracts.

Definitely Collins. Leary might be the better player now but Collins in 2-3 years will be scary.

the question is not can we afford both, the question is can we afford both and re-sign martin.

I want to keep Leary, but I think it's a long shot given his potential contract demands and our need to resign Martin and add to the defense.

Hoping some AFC team gets him instead of a NFC team (Atlanta, Wash, Minnesota).

Interesting comments from JJ over the last few weeks, but I think he is gone.

That means he admires Leary more than Tom Landry.

You guys cool with that?

I have no questions about greens ability. He is a good tackle and was in college but his availability is a real question mark

Collins is better when healthy and has more upside.

I know the coaches forgot more football than I will ever know...but I cannot understand why they won't consider Collins at RT.

And I would find the money for Leary. He is a good player. He has chemistry with the guys. And I truly believe the OL is the heart and soul of this team. I mean we are closing in on the best record in football for 2016 season with the WORST personnel I have seen on a Cowboys defense in a LONG time. Our 4th round rookie QB is on the verge of producing the best rookie season for a QB in the history of the NFL. The OL is the foundation that is making this all possible.

I like Collins

But I think Leary is the better player. I believe the run games suffered last year without Leary. I still think it's interesting the run game picked up once Leary got back in the lineup

Thankfully Cowboys do not need to make that call right now with Collins under contract until 2018.
