If you swap the quarterbacks, Dallas wins comfortably

No mystery remains.

Everybody in this organization is hamstrung by Dak.

McCarthy, Kellen Moore, the receivers, the running game, the defense....

They can't do what they can do because their QB has so many limitations. He's the only glaring liability of the roster.

It's like trying to win a chess tournament without knowing how the rooks and bishops move.

Meanwhile, Purdy sees the game better already. Dallas wins by three scores today with Purdy here and Dak there.

Dak is regressing rapidly.
EXACTLY Mr Irrelevant is better than the $160 million dollar man. WOW.

Agree somewhat... but if Dak had just driven the bus Cowboys win that game.
I agree 100%! If Dak is not trying to play Superman forcing throws into double coverage, we take that game. He is a lot like Romo in that respect, when it works he looks like a god but when it doesn't, he looks like a fool. The last interception was right in the numbers of Lamb until defender steps right in front of it along with another defender right there to grab the pop up. Lamb catches it TD, defender catches it Dak is a fool.

.......but Cooper is in the "QB Coach in Training" program. That's how it works at The Star. About to follow the KMoore job ladder. You don't see that?

LOL..........more genius QB analysis from the guy that has been dead wrong on Dak since day #1.

So Dak is regressing eh? Because we actually won a playoff game and he threw for 300 yards and 5 TD's while doing it?

Keep on trucking buddy. I look forward another offseason of making you look like the fool with the facts.

lol we'd be crying about how much purdy sucks if you swap qbs. Dak would be spanking us on a team as stacked with talent as the 49ers. They actually made moves to get better in FA like grabbing McCaffery. Meanwhile we go bargain bin hunting and trade away our best wr for a 5th rounder

Pollard got injured early. Gallup was nonexistent. Ty Hilton and Noah Brown are ok. We got zero out of the running game when Pollard left. Our offense was pretty much down to Ceedee and an occasional Schultz catch.

Dak isn’t going anywhere for a few years but SF gave us the blueprint for what to do with him in the mean team. A lot of presnap movement. Find ways outside of the passing game to get the ball into your playmaker’s hands, and easy high percentage throws for the QB. The only thing I would add on top of what SF does is that we should have Dak run a lot. If he gets hurt it doesn’t matter because Rush (or hopefully a drafted rookie) can step in and do just as well.

Dak’s time as a starter in this league will be over once he’s gone from Dallas. So if you have a backup level player you have to use him as such otherwise his mistakes will hamstring you & limit your ceiling.

Cowboys have to move on from Dak at all cost even if we have to pay another team draft picks and money to take him . I’d rather go in with Cooper Rush next year . We are paying 40 million to a 12 million dollar QB and it’s killing team and it’s only going to get worse when we need to keep other players . Cowboys are in an absolute death spiral with Dak’s contract right now .
Jerry wont do that, after dumping tony for dak, then giving him the big contract, and saying this is the guy who will win us a sb, he now
feels he has to prove he wasnt wrong about dak, which means 3-4 more years of dakko.

Jerry is also keeping MM, wasted no time saying that, and will probably keep kellen, unless kellen really wants to leave and be HC somewhere.

So more of the same in near future, meanwhile we will lose other good players, and some will just get old.

true but jerry, kellen, and MM will disagree with you and continue to see dak as elite.

Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot is truly a fundamentally flawed QB. I loved it when Parsons didn't pull any punches and pointed the finger at Prescot's two interceptions as the Cowboy's down fall!

I disgree. Purdy does not beat the 49ers with the roster Dallas has. Purdy does not beat the 49ers with coaching in Dallas. Purdy does not beat the 49ers with the front in Dallas. The 49ers are better than Dallas in every way....they were last year..and Dallas did not believe it...so for good measure the 49ers came back the following year and showed you again...with a 7th round rookie!

And I am not saying Dak was NOT bad...he was!!!!!! But this game was lost before it started. They think Dak is something he is not. And that has been the case for a while!
Are you serious . . . Dak would have been a sitting Dick if He was lined up across Micah and the Boys . . . Cowboys would have won on a blow out

But you need those 12 wins to reach this game.

The core issue is we haven’t managed our talent or lack thereof appropriately. SF obviously recognizes their less than Elite QB’s and build accordingly.

Our ownership is more concerned with building hype than championships.
Cooper won a lot of those games . . . and if truth be told Cooper more then likely would have finished with the same record if given the nod

He's not wrong. The problem is that Dak considers himself a lot better than the reality of his talent. He can do what Purdy did yesterday playing within the offense and not making the big mistake. We just need an OC that can convince him that he's not Mahomes or Burrow.
No

This and we don't have any better options. Dak's contract is an anchor. If we cut him, its an 89M in dead cap space. If we keep him and want out after 2023, its a 49M cap hit in 2023. The ONLY option that avoids a total rebuild is to extend him and somehow build a team around him that is good enough to overcome his limitations as a QB.
This is a pipe dream in today's NFL cap world.
The only solution is to bite the bullet the next 2 seasons and make him a pre-June 1st 2024 cut while drafting QBs to develop and trying to trade him if there are any takers out there.
His no-trade clause is a non-issue as life on the bench will kill his massive ego.

Exactly right.

And…we somehow have to pay Pollard and Schultz while Dak and Zeke eat up huge amounts of cap money.

The problem is we can’t really fall into a viscous trap of paying the RB position big money…again.

In a well run organization Pollards is a luxury not a necessity. With us he’s our best offensive weapon right now.

That’s how screwed we are.

Let me sure I understand you....if Purdy was the QB for the Cowboys....with MM as the head coach....with Kellen Moore calling plays...with Cee Dee, Scultz and Elliot as his weapons...with Maher as his kicker...Purdy would have blown the 49ers out?
