$15 would be too low for $33.Completely agree 3 years 33 million.
15 guaranteed

Jovante is breaking tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Not sure it is the blocking.I’ll pass. Seems like rbs are a dime a dozen. The league has dozens of these guys buried on teams with poor OL play who could do what Jovante is doing given the opportunity and blocking.
Pretty sure we have been looking in the draft for a few years now.We should look in the draft, but he'll only be 26 by the beginning of next season. If he keeps up this level of play, I say we absolutely have to resign him, especially since we don't have to make a horrid investment into Micah Parsons anymore.
And what happens if he gets injured???Costs goes up instrumentally if you wait and his excellent play continues.
agreed. Im in the same ball park. 10-12 mill per.If he finishes in the top 3 rushing this season it will require 12 million per year. Taylor makes 14 per year but his production has been more consistent. It would be risky to give him that much but compared to giving Pickens 30 million per year it seems like a bargain.
then we gambled and lost. I rather gamble and lose than not have tried at all. You got no chance if you never take a calculated risk. And what happens if he gets injured???
I think it is too early in the season to start negotiations. Plus at this point his agent is going to advise him to wait.I'm afraid I couldn't offer Williams much. It's a good think someone else is picking up that tab.
He’s gonna get around 10 mil per year based on other contractsToo cheap, if he has a monster season he will get a 2-3 year 40+ mil deal
I'm talking a Barkley type season last year, and still 25 years old. He’s gonna get around 10 mil per year based on other contracts
Unless he gets hurt again, 8 mil/seasons is not getting it done. Try 3 yrs/33 mil.3 years $24M and $15M guaranteed.

Chance you take. Did you do some research on his injury history before the last one to see if he is injury prone? If not, your question is irrelevant. And what happens if he gets injured???
replace per NFL draft ,.. trade .... or Unrestriced Free Agency ...?Well the fact that they are “easily replaceable "
i'd be very concerned with committing that kind of money to a veteran back, that has some wear tread on his body & wheels, that is not a breakaway ala Derrick Henry,3 yrs/36 mil
And yet, we won't win w/o him.i'd be very concerned with committing that kind of money to a veteran back, that has some wear tread on his body & wheels, that is not a breakaway ala Derrick Henry,
and has a take on hard churning style that is suspectible to eventually wear and durability issues.
Can he be a cap friendly casualty cut the following year, if he flames out after he's re-signed ?
No it is not irrelevant. Waiting is a risk and signing him now is a risk. Either way his Agent will make him wait, unless they offer him a great deal.Chance you take. Did you do some research on his injury history before the last one to see if he is injury prone? If not, your question is irrelevant.
