If you were to offer Jevonte Williams a contract, how much would it be?

If he signs for a ton of money elsewhere he could get us a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Above said, let's see what happens the rest of the season.
maybe BUT,

I agree we should give it maybe until the bye week if he's still rolling like this,

I think it would be smart money to sign him now versus let him enter free agency.. I understand the risks in running backs that's why you offer them a three year deal for $24 million$15 million guaranteed, that's rather low risk Ie just a 2 yr deal, and that's about the market for a player like him even if we got another last year..

why would you not want another one with the risk that you won't have the same result

which by the way please don't sell short what I believe is our future Mafah/blue combo..

I know it's weird I just saw really good consistency with the physicalness in training camp from Phil He's been really good so far,. Have to see it in a regular season,

that's why my idea you need to bring him off IR as soon as possible Put sanders on IR activate Phil and let's let him right now get the experience And that way if Williams gets injured we have a guy very similar to him ready to go and not putting him in cold....

I would be comfortable with a 3 year deal not exceeding 10 million per year. A 3yr $27m deal would be ideal. He would be 28 at the end of the deal. The undervaluing of running backs is over and the prices are going to skyrocket again at least in this age bracket. I think deals for them will remain short but the value will rise dramatically.

How in the world did you come to that conclusion? A lightly built speed back, prone to fumbling, didn't start or have that many carries in college, but he's the answer?
How do you know he’s not?
All I’m saying is let’s see what he can do.
Many smallish RB had good career in the NFL.
Thanks for the great question.

Next year's feature back will be Blue. Williams is doing great, but he's gonna want a boatload of cash. No thanks. Draft another RB in the 5th round, and we're good to go.
You think they really trust him to carry the load doesn't have the body type he's probably always going to be seen as a #2

Not enough, that's how much.

I stated this before. I think Pickens and Williams are going to be two of the most valuable free agents on the market after this season.

The way they are both going, they would have pretty bad agents right now if they were to agree to a team-friendly contract with the Cowboys..

The Cowboys 2027 draft should get some awesome compensatory picks.

3yr 16-18m!
His past knee injury is going to limit what teams will be willing to offer someone at the position!

3 years 30 million, with 20 mil guaranteed (10 million a year with a 3rd year guaranteed at start of 3rd season) So a 2 year contract locked in with a 3rd year option gives the team a lot of movement options. Not a huge investment, but allows the team to cut ties after 2 years with no money owed. Dallas needs to be looking at 2028 as a fresh start year. New QB, new coach, new options if they don't do something spectacular in 2026 and 2027.

Otherwise, franchise tag him, and be ready to draft a new RB in 2027 instead of a QB in first round.

Just draft a RB in the 5th and 7th round, no need to re-sign Javonte.

My offer is this.

Nothing. Not even the fee for the gaming license. Which I would appreciate if he put up personally.

Why didn't he start in college? Why did he have only around 500 yds his last year?

I have no problem seeing what he can do.

They sure will and in the first hours of FA they'll be gone ASAP to the highest bidder

This young man has been great for us in 4 games, he's exceeded all expations to this point. If you were to offer him a contract, how much would you pay him? How many years would the deal be? Please give your thoughts!

But Coog (The season isn't even over!) I know that!! Just based on his play so far and how he's helped this offense, what would you pay him!??
I’d guess they draft a RB.

His knee….
